No anime cards?!
Why would there be anime cards?
We have had anime RD reveals in these streams before – last time we had Mitsuko – but not always. Usually when their VA comes on we get their cards announced.
But we also had Monarchs only for Oblivion of the Flash’s reveal so the lack of anime support isn’t unprecedented.
Apparently, not here. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that this pack is filled with various Anime character cards.

Rush’s format has no bearing on the OCG/TCG. Konami more often than not focuses heavily on themes from the first six anime, strongly emphasizing the archetypes from the original three series at that. We also got a few Red-Eyes cards last year. If Konami isn’t actively printing Red-Eyes for the standard format, it’s because they don’t want to.
Rush is ONLY printing legacy support as a marketing cost – to get older/MD players into the format and rely on their influence and discretionary income to keep Rush afloat. Rush needs all the help it can get to stay alive, so any small bit helps.
Besides, even if Konami did print these cards for MD, they wouldn’t be viable at all. The skill ceiling is too high for Red-Eyes, but in Rush’s less complex format at least they have a fighting chance. Red-Eyes also has a distinct niche here since Konami didn’t spread it across 3 different directions this time, meaning any future support for these cards will be entirely devoted to Fusion spam, beatdown, and resource recovery.

We finally have our intended Eliceras target in Moon, and it’s an amazing one at that.
Moon, Alligator’s Black Knight, Meteor Flare Fusion, and the Equip Spell strongly hint that we are getting Black Skull Dragon at some point.
Man, it also shows that there are many Effect Monsters (JP015 to JP024) that are not Original Monsters. I know Maguto has a couple of Effect Monsters, but there’s plenty of room to fill with various cards from various Decks (possibly Otes’s Darkness Deck has new Monsters here?)
I’m surprised that JP000 isn’t an Over Rush Rare for Red-Eyes. Unless they reveal it later, since it could be another Monster that occupies the Over Rush Rare (for example, Darkness Zerorogue)
Additionally, these revelations made it known that there are three (up to four) Fusion Monsters still unknown (JP043-45 and JP049). It is possible that Maguto and Mitsuko will receive their Fusion Monsters here (especially THE FISH thanks to Fish Depth Charge). However, that leaves up to two free slots for other Fusion Monsters (Fusion Monster for Zwijo?)
