Strategic Summary:
The Malefic archetype, comprised of corrupted versions of iconic Dragons through the various anime series, is another take on the Field Spell dependent formula. Featuring powerful boss monsters that can be Special Summoned easily from the hand, this archetype can easily beat down on most threats. The newest addition to the archetype, Malefic Paradigm Dragon (YGOrg Translation), was revealed yesterday to be coming to the OCG in Collection Pack 2020 and takes this to the next level by effectively Special Summoning your banished Level 8 Synchro monsters, such as Stardust Dragon, to get even more protection. Fresh out of the recent Duel Overload set, Malefic Selector also has entered the scene, offering a double search for the archetype. Also recently entering the fray was Malefic Territory, ensuring access to the iconic Malefic World, put to good use in a pure build like this one! If you want to wield corrupted Dragons or make Synchro Monsters with high-level material in your hand, definitely check out the Malefic.
