The upcoming Japan Championship 2026 has updated the list of “additional” Forbidden cards for this particular event on July 1st. These cards are not part of the OCG Forbidden/Limited list, and are only Forbidden in certain tournaments, usually where matches consist of best-of-3 instead of single Duels.
The current list of Forbidden cards:
Mystic Wok
Emergency Provisions
Rainbow Life
Self-Destruct Button
Tri-and-Guess
Cards newly added on July 1st:
One Day of Peace
Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood
Hallowed Life Barrier
As a note, this restriction so far only applies to this particular tournament, and while it may be extended to other types of tournaments, it does not affect the regular F/L List.
