Unique oddities within the Genesys Database.
When creating something as large as Genesys, some things can fall through the cracks and get missed. As a passionate duelist in the game we play, I’ve taken the liberty to go through the Genesys Database that Konami has provided the players with for the format to collect some errors that are currently within the Database itself. This article will be a breakdown of a few of the errors that are currently on the Genesys Card Database and Genesys Page itself.
Incorrect and Missing Card Images
The header says it all, but this section will be for cards that have incorrect or missing card images on the Database. All the new cards that were released in the Legendary 5D’s Decks are currently missing their images as of the writing of this article, and it took up until the recent Burst Protocol update for the cards to be added properly so players can add them to their decks.
Following this, so far, 4 cards have been discovered to have the incorrect images since the beginning of the Database, and those are Number C103: Ragnafinity with the image of The Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil, Ice Beast Zerofyne with the image of Command Performance, and The Calculator with the image of Dark Hole in their place.
The 4th card happens to be the Alternate Artwork for Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, not having the proper background as the physical card that was newly reprinted in Burst Protocol. Currently, the Database has a blank background, while there is supposed to be some detailing for the background.

Incorrect points for cards
Currently, not many cards have incorrect points from the updates they post through the blog posts, the list on the official site, and the Genesys Database, but only a couple of cards display the wrong point total. I am not sure if these will matter in the future, as the points will constantly change in 6-8 week increments, but there are a handful of cards to take note of.
First up happens to be the Barrier Statue of the Abyss; this card shows up twice on the list of cards on the official Genesys Point page.
Finally, on the December Points update list, Change of Heart was updated to cost 7 points to put into your Deck, but on the Genesys Point page, it is still listed at 10 points from the October 2025 Point List update.
Closing Thoughts
Konami’s Genesys Format has been fun to watch evolve over the past months, and I cannot wait to see how well it’ll do at the 300th YCS in Richmond, Virginia / Guadalajara, Mexico / Dortmund, Germany.
