Gonna need some fiddling.
Paraphrasing:
Severe Performance Outliers
Pot of Extravagance and other generic draw cards being overused.
Excessively Used Generics
Mostly draw effects, “Special summon and get a card” monsters and Solemn Judgment and variants of it wearing a new hat.
New Legacy Support Getting Points Already
The Fallen & The Virtuous
Spells Overcosted To The Point Of Not Being Appealing
Mirage of Nightmare, et al.
Themes Not Used
There were various themes used internally that KDE staff expected players to use but did not anticipate the conservatism of Duelists to shy away from them due to point costs. These will be adjusted.
Extra Deck Cheat Cards
Poor Bahamut Shark.
First Turn Kill Combo Pieces
Various cards were used to try and enable consistent First Turn Kills. None succeeded by they’re considered gnats and annoyances, so they’ll be hit to send them, and I quote, to “The Unrealistic Clickbait Combo Dimension”. Which as we all know is the 5th Dimension in the conflict in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC.
Cards That Make Judges Cry And Play Lacrimosa
Question. Question is the poster boy.

What’s wrong with Question in Genesys?
The card existing means that you have to be keeping track of the order of the graveyard. This means any innocent look through a GY could result in a judge call. The effect that prevents your opponent from looking through the GY is also counter-intuitive, because it’s a continuous effect that applies to the chain. You CAN chain D.D. Crow to Question, for example, but you cannot check the grave for potential targets.
Question’s card text prevents your opponent from checking your Graveyard because it demands they guess the bottom monster of it.
Say I have a Stand In face-down (lets me tribute one of my monsters to summon one of the same type and attribute from the opponent’s GY), and I want to check what targets I have for it’s use, per Question’s rules, I can’t do that, so how do I know if I have a valid card? Do I say I have a response and check despite Question saying no? Do I use it anyway and check the Graveyard for targets during it’s resolution? Does the Graveyard become Private Information and I just have to trust my opponent when they say “You have no targets” like it’s Mind Crush?
etc.
Personally, I’ve always been of the opinion that cards in the GY should remain in the correct order anyway. But then, I was also very obstinate about keeping cards in their correct columns, and we all know what that was like back in the day. I do think Komani should make it mandatory, though.
As for card effects like those above, couldn’t that be simplified by just ruling that cards like that cannot be chained to the activation of Question?
Please for the love of god let me play guru control it’s not even good
Drytron unhits ?
That’s what I’m hoping for too because that definitely goes under being an Underused theme
I like how it acknowledges stuff like Bahamut Shark is not a good idea. XD But that’s cause it never was(same with stuff like Metamorphosis and Cyber-Stein). Plus, they already made sure each problematic fusion(thusfar. It can get updated) is at 100 points, fixing a lot of it.
