What if you just build your own Power Patron?

The Artmage Story

Story Guide
The Power Patron Machine Doom-Z, introduced to this era by Jupiter the Power Patron of Destruction, seeks for a champion of the battlefield, then transforms into the “Doom-Z System” in order to grant it even further power.
D.O.O.M.D.U.R.G. succeeded in the mass production of Power Patron Machine Doom-Zs, although they were incomplete. These mass-produced, incomplete models wield red lightning, unlike the green from the original model.

“Medius” evolves through the power of the “Power Patron of Destruction“!!
Story Guide
In a desperate situation, held at gunpoint by Drastrius, Graflare rushes in to protect his friends. In his hand, he holds one of the mass-produced Doom-Z System machines, which only the Doom-Zs should have.
The two Dragonewts confront each other. At that moment, what appeared in Medius’ “eye” was an image of Graflare being consumed by the power of the System, going berserk.

TL note: “Dragonewt” is common Japanese fantasy parlance for “a human with partial dragon ancestry”.

So, either the Xyz Diactorus is the result of Medius trying to forestall his vision of the future where Graflare goes berserk upon attempting to use the mass-produced Power Patron Machine Doom-Z, or the transformation is something else and we’ll be getting a new form for Graflare next Core Booster.
Going by that logic, Litera will have something wrong happen to her involving Synchro that Medius resulting in a third Diactorus. Finally the power of all three power patrons filling Medius will eventually turn him into a new power patron (given his visions of the future, likely Power Patron Apollo, and likely a Link monster) while his three friends then try to find a way to free him, with the end iku ng left ambiguous on if they succeed or not
Perhaps Medius trying to save his friends from the grim fates he envisions of them, leading him to become a new Power Patron, will in turn encourage/embolden his friends to power up with new forms themselves to save Medius in a way that ultimately overcomes these grim visions Medius had.
For example, Medius had a premonition that if Graflare used the Doom-Z Power Patron Machine, he would go berserk, leading Medius to decide to take it and use it himself so that Graflare couldn’t, presumably sparing him from the vision’s fate. Well, down the road, Graflare will use the Doom-Z Power Patron Machine (either the original or one of mass-produced copies) and successfully control its power without losing control and going berserk. Perhaps something similar will occur for Litera and Finemel and their respective themes.
Dang it, stupid no edit…

Lol, Artemagia is all about typical dime-a-dozen academy light novel tropes it seems, to the point where the immediate invasion by an enemy empire is the first real arc.
You mean like the Academy in ARC-V’s Fusion Dimension?
…No. Like an Academy that trains Heroes/Mages/Hogwarts kind of Academy. The one in Arc V is more like the Empire/Evil Academy that would invade an Academy from the Light Novels I am talking about.
D.O.O.M.D.U.R.G. sounds like the dumbest name for an evil organization (unless that’s meant for something else). It almost made me think of Emperor Zurg from Toy Story.
I thought this archetype’s whole thing was creating or bringing artwork to life given their name and the artwork on the Spell Cards. Even the field spell depicts them as students. I would’ve love for that to be the case instead of whatever this is meant to be.
YGOCollector sounds like the dumbest name.
Normally if there are dots in a name, that means each of the letters is just the starting letter of some other word
So the name probably stands for something else entirely
Also if they go with something so unwieldy like “Doomdurg” already, then there must be a hell of a phrase behind that
I hope Ritual theme is the heroic theme this time. Getting tired of them getting cast as the opposition in stories like Draco and Albaz or just ignored.
Does the “Dragonewt” thing apply to “Axe -” and “Lancer Dragonute”?
It is the same word being used: ドラゴニュート (doragonyuuto).
Yes.
