“And the very first Link Monster for your “Blue-Eyes” Deck, will be a brand new Xyz Monster” huh> is this a mistake or im i not reading this well
I believe they meant to say “And the very first Link Monster for your ‘Blue-Eyes’ Deck, as well as a brand new Xyz Monster”.
You’re right, the whole description kinda reads like it was written by chatGPT lol
Thank goodness we’re getting the structure deck, I was getting worried that Konami was gonna take the greed route of skipping the import to put the new cards in various packs as short-printed secret rares.
They were never going to do that. When Konami skips structure decks it’s usually because they don’t expect that particular deck to sell. Blue-Eyes is the most iconic monster in the game.
I’m with @N, here.
The “greed” myth that gets bandied around in this fandom is obnoxious. Like, for one, it’s ALL about making profit, as is the tenants of capitalism. Meaning it’s all greed on various levels. So trying to single out practices that are individually disliked as “greedy” while not saying anything about practices that are conveniently liked is just ignorance to an obnoxious degree.
The question Konami TCG asks is “Will this sell as a Structure Deck, yes or no?” And that’s it. If experience backed by empirical data shows it’ll make them more money to release the cards as a Structure Deck, then they’ll do so. If they conclude the Structure Deck is liable to sit on shelves and not contribute to product being pushed, then they’ll either craft a booster product that’ll have a better chance at being a money maker, or they’ll release the cards in other booster products they know will be money makers on some level.
Blue-Eyes (and Dark Magician, but especially Blue-Eyes) sells. Both in the TCG and the OCG. That old TCG Blue-Eyes Structure Deck from back during I think the ARC-V era apparently still sells like hotcakes.
So even though Konami TCG did not announce it as quickly as some folks would have liked, there was never a real chance that they weren’t going to create the new update to said hotcakes in the form of releasing this as a Structure Deck. Because not only do they know it will sell, but they also know it will sell in perpetuity.
Same. Especially after this magia master financial disaster nonsense.
Finally, apologies for the reply string.
My full reply was getting flagged for some reason that wasn’t easily discernable. So Dan (the site owner) asked me to try hashing it out to see where the problem laid.
It seems the word for giving something to someone or letting someone through something that starts with a ‘p’ and ends with two ‘s’es and has an ‘a’ in between is a no-no.
I will need to wait until next year for magia reprints.
“Blue-Eyes White Destiny” is a hilarious name.
F@CK YEAH, I WAS SO WAITING FOR THIS 🤣
Finally! The doubters who thought the TCG would never receive anymore structure decks got proven wrong! I can’t wait to buy this! While the new cards are not my fave way to play my Chaos MAX Turbo deck… as these lean far more into the synchro side of play style… but many of the cards are still a welcomed upgrade even to the ritual versions of Blue-Eyes, and I’ll take what I can get!
There is no way we wouldn’t get this. The 2013 one gets reprinted all the time even now because it still sells. This will be the new that.
So we get 50 card structure deck plus 1 extra card with quarter century secret rare? If so, what could this card be? They said 1 of the 3 cards.
I mean what 3 cards might be?
Would be very funny if they reprinted Life Shaver / Magical Trick Mirror / Attack Guidance Armor here – they are Kaiba cards after all.
Def getting 3 of this Deck when it comes out, I don’t care right now what the 3 25th Anniversary cards are going to be.
According to the announcement page on the official yugioh tcg website, the 3 potential quarter centuries will be either Maiden of White, Wishes for Eyes of Blue, or Blue-eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon
to Pineapple: You are probably right, I just checked the OCG structure deck, it comes with extra pack, and in the pack, only 3 are available as QCSR, and they are indeed Maiden of White, Wishes for Eyes of Blue(previously called Prayer with Eyes of Blue), and Blue-eyes Ultimate Spirit Dragon, so we get one of the 3 in each structure deck, not bad.
STUPID TRASH SET!!! Now I have to wait 600 billion years to MAYBE get a rarity upgrade for cards that should already be higher than Super/Ultra.
