So Yugo finally gets to achieve what his idol Jack Atlas did and go for Double Tuning, and yet also still have the option for Accel Synchro, which is really cool.

Crystal Clear Wing Over Synchro Dragon’s existence suggests that the other Yu-boys will eventually get “ultimate forms” (that aren’t Z-ARC) of their Dragons.

RANK 13 DARK REBELLION LET GOOOOO

      • Lingo on September 9, 2024 7:04 am

Didn’t we get an ultimate form for Starving Venom in the last wave of Predaplant support? Starving Venom Predapower Dragon or something like that.

Wouldn’t be shocking or unwelcome to get a newer, ultimate-r version though lol

      • Decer on September 9, 2024 8:18 am

I think almost everyone has one but Yuto of you count Arcray Dragon and Predapower Fusion Dragon

      • Nicholas Daniel on September 9, 2024 1:42 pm

Don’t worry son, we’ve got Golden Yusei at home.

      • EmeraldTiger on September 9, 2024 4:21 pm

@Lingo/Decer: Predapower I don’t consider an “ultimate” form. It’s in the same line of evolutions as Arc Rebellion and Crystal Clear Wing. It’s only Level 10, same as its canon evolution in Greedy Venom. An “Ultimate” form would be Level 12 like this monster is.

As for Arcray, that’s just another form of Z-ARC. It may be an Odd-Eyes monster, but it’s not a Pendulum Dragon, and it’s not a “pure” upgrade.

Now that Speedroid have synchro from pend zone, and Predas have fusion from pend zone, it should be PK’s turn to xyz with pends sooner or later

      • V on September 9, 2024 3:28 am

Xyz won’t be affected since they don’t have a level to increase to 5. It would need to be worded differently like Xiangke Magician.

Me still waiting for new Lunalight and Lyrilusc cards while Speedroids never starve

      • Charmander on September 8, 2024 11:57 pm

The last wave of support lyrilusc got was literally in the same set speedroid got support, quit whining

      • N on September 9, 2024 12:04 am

Lyriluscs are still a small archetype in comparison and Lunalights haven’t gotten new cards in almost 6 years

      • ScionStorm on September 9, 2024 12:09 am

And Aquaactress has not had any support since they were first released.

What about Vehicroid? That deck hasn’t gotten support since 2017 and the deck still terrible.

      • a guy on September 9, 2024 9:09 am

Lyrilusc does not need more support. Do you enjoy playing against Tenpai? If you give Lyrilusc support, it is going to either be unplayable or make the deck Tenpai except with direct attacks

    7. ScionStorm on September 8, 2024 11:53 pm

Oh, great. Because after getting top billing in the WIND DP they really needed to get even more support before other decks. :/

    8. Respectblindfolds on September 8, 2024 11:58 pm

I feel like the more likely translation for the trap is actually Speedroid Clear Wing Wonder, not Wander. I know it’s ambiguous, but context clues make the former just more reasonable. I don’t know what about the art is particularly wandersome, but I do know it looks like a wonder is about to happen. (Speedroids topping an event.)

      • NeoArkadia on September 9, 2024 7:57 am

We went with Wander because the effects literally a dimensional jump

    9. gee on September 9, 2024 12:12 am

Of course Yugo would get support in the set whose cover card is a fusion monster

    11. ——— on September 9, 2024 12:25 am

I wasn’t expecting so much speedroid support and that trap card, they took it out of the actual intro ow waw I can’t wait to see what Yuri, Yuto, Yuya get for support. I’m expecting a series of new Performapal extra deck cards more akin to Yushow’s style of duelling, maybe a circus and carnival based Performapal counter to Z-arc.

      • Pleasantly on September 9, 2024 12:25 pm

I hope so. I really love Performapals and I wish they were good by themselves. Hopefully they get the support they need.

    12. aaa1e2r3 on September 9, 2024 12:26 am

Clacker being a level 2 is odd. The line they want you to do clearly is Clacker set Wing > Wing pop both for Clear Wing synchro Dragon > clacker destruction eff to summon another clacker as a tuner. The problem is that there is no current level 9 wind synchro speedroid or Synchro Dragon. The only valid targets rn are:
      – Cloudcastle(Revive a sync 9 only on summon)
      – Virtual World Shenshen(D Fissure for the Field only)
      – Stellar Wind Wolfrayet (Potential field wipe, as long as your opponent activates 5 monster effects while it’s on the field).

If Clacker was a level 1, then I could see the line with also being able to go into Crystal Wing, but right now, there needs to be a level 9 worth going into for this play to be more worthwhile.

      • Zenmaistro on September 9, 2024 1:07 am

Scratcher add Terrortop, Terrortop add Clacker, perform the above combo, tune Terrortop and second Clacker into Glider 2, tune Glider 2 and Clear Wing into the new boss

      • kuroisepu on September 9, 2024 2:17 am

to Zenmaistro: it’s not gonna work, you have to control at least 2 synchro monsters with different types at the time of wing synchron send to the extra deck face-up to activate.

      • kuroisepu on September 9, 2024 2:19 am

to Zenmaistro: My bad, that was a different effect.

      • Nerazim on September 9, 2024 3:44 am

You’re most likely meant to get clear wing with the scales alongside a speedroid synchro, send dupligate to grave with synchron, revive dupligate while reducing the level of the newly summoned clackernel to get crystal wing. And then convert the left over tuner and another body into RBS or, if you have a lvl 4 non-tuner extender, summon it to get glider and then the over synchro

    13. Justin Jones on September 9, 2024 12:43 am

Dang for a moment I through we got A Hero Roid Fusion. I guess UFOroid Fighter is still a thing I suppose.

    14. Enlong on September 9, 2024 1:46 am

I think the level 2 guy should probably be “Clackolonel” or something like that.

He seems to be based on the word “colonel”, which is spelled like that, but pronounced like “kernel”

      • NeoArkadia on September 9, 2024 1:51 am

        It’s Clacker + Colonel.

      • Enlong on September 9, 2024 2:05 am

So I guess it depends on whether you think the name should contain more of “clacker” or more of “Colonel”

      • NeoArkadia on September 9, 2024 7:58 am

More or less but I would not be shocked if it ended up Clackercolonel in the TCG.

    15. Alderman on September 9, 2024 2:00 am

You know, as happy as I am to see more Speedroid, I can’t help but feel a little sad that the new Clear Wing form is just another 5D’s reference (not!Quasar through Double Tuning or Accel Synchro). Like, plenty of other characters have been getting OCG-original cards to invoke the memory of themselves or their moments or whatever, but only Yugo is only one who gets OCG-original aces that invoke the memories of a series he wasn’t even in.

      • Spagoongus on September 9, 2024 9:12 am

It actually references Yugo’s jacket, so it is meants to invoke his look.

    16. CarnageJak on September 9, 2024 2:01 am

I wonder if we’ll see any Graydle support down the line

      • kuroisepu on September 9, 2024 2:06 am

        very unlikely at this point

    17. Logic Bomb on September 9, 2024 2:02 am

Huh? It has an effect in the face-up extra deck? You don’t see that often…I can’t think of another example besides some summoning conditions

      • kuroisepu on September 9, 2024 2:14 am

it’s a trigger effect, meaning if it is send to the extra deck face-up, it will trigger its effects if you meet the condition to activate, similar to how some cards activate its effect when it is banished.

      • Logic Bomb on September 9, 2024 10:21 am

        @kuroisepu
The trigger is when your “Clear Wing” monster battles WHILE it is face up in the extra deck. Meaning it has to already be there. My point is that cards don’t normally have effects in the extra deck, so that makes this unique.

      • Orphys Scorpio on September 9, 2024 7:16 pm

Both of the newer-ish predaplant pends do have extra deck triggers

    18. Ciccio on September 9, 2024 2:08 am

2024 and still we do not have asymmetric pendulum scales

      • Alice on September 9, 2024 5:13 am

You know, I see people mention this all the time, but I don’t feel like it would add anything to the game? Like I get that people are annoyed that it just has the same number twice on the card, but I think it’s fine for it to be just for the sake of symmetry. Having to deal with using specific pendulum zones with specific cards just sounds like a huge pain for a summoning mechanic that’s already underpowered, finicky, and easy to disrupt.

    19. kuroisepu on September 9, 2024 2:09 am

Is this the first time we get 2 methods of tuners being used as material(s) for synchro summon?

    20. Naransolongo_BB on September 9, 2024 3:41 am

I should’ve guessed Speedroid after Rin was added to DL but I still expected Windwitch instead, even though it’s just Speedroid support under a different name. The level increase is funny since it can potentially lock your opponent depending, even though the intention is just to enable the Clear wing negates.

Now if the DL stuff keeps up lets see if we get anything for Vector

    21. KONAMI give support to those who actually need it on September 9, 2024 4:03 am

Leave it to konami to support an archetype that already has a ton of cards & also is already a pretty good deck. But it would be far better to support archetypes with few cards and make them better. Speedroids give a strong Blackwings 2 electric boogaloo vibe with so much support.

      • ScionStorm on September 9, 2024 6:29 am

Speedroids are the Blackwings of Arc-V.

      • morphine jar on September 9, 2024 6:56 am

ive seen some stupid takes on this website but good lord this is one of the dumbest.

      • John Fortnite on September 9, 2024 8:00 am

I think Blackwings are the Blackwings of Arc-V lmao

      • Gabe on September 9, 2024 12:27 pm

Amusing given that there IS a Blackwings 2 archetype from ARC-V: The Battlewasps.

    22. Mizael on September 9, 2024 5:15 am

Well, there it is. The trap card is the second official card in that game that has the novel Tachyon Refresh effect.

    23. Luke Atmey on September 9, 2024 5:49 am

I think the TCG will call the Glider 2 card either “Hi-Speedroid Glidarts” or “Glider Dart” since the “2” is part of a Japanese wordplay when you take the “ダーツ” from ハイスピードロイドグライダーツー

    24. Centurion Enjoyer on September 9, 2024 7:10 am

Making Crystal Clear Wing Over Synchro Dragon in Centur-Ion might be interesting, since it is more resilient than Blazar and can summon out Crystal Clear Wing if it’s somehow removed. Which then is another S/T negate that can make itself huge while being unaffected by monsters. I will definitely toy around with that.

Quick question: Does a Kaiju removing the new 12 trigger its effect?

      • Pot on September 9, 2024 8:44 am

To Answer your question, yes it does trigger.

But also it may not replace Blazar, that card is already insane and has more utilities than this card as Blazar is almost impossible to out without card like Kaiju, however card could replay Supernova slot.

      • Kuroe on September 9, 2024 4:20 pm

Crimson Dragon cannot get banned soon enough.

      • Orphys Scorpio on September 9, 2024 7:23 pm

It’s a bit difficult to make, as it requires a listed material in “Clear Wing Synchro Dragon” specifically. (In Centur-ion’s case, at least because they find it difficult to make level 7 synchros in-archetype.) But if you really try, I’m sure you can find a funny interaction that allows for the summon of a level 5 tuner synchro and/or clear wing. OR JUST MAKE CRIMSON DRAGON 💀

    25. John Fortnite on September 9, 2024 8:04 am

Yes it should trigger the same way as Mirrorjade

    26. Zlando on September 9, 2024 9:13 am

      500 speedroid synchros

    29. BoostHarpiesNOW on September 9, 2024 6:18 pm

Where’s the support for HARPIES, SIMORGH, YOSENJU, WIND WITCH

Older duel terminal ATs are yet to get support Mist Valley, Worms, Ally of justice, Flamvel/Laval (got like 1 card)

Speedroids DID NOT need this support. The deck is more than functional.

      • Orphys Scorpio on September 9, 2024 7:27 pm

But it’s fun! And it makes the deck compete a bit better on paper, as it has less fragile combos. And it allows for a deck list that can theoretically play pendulum as an actual practice. However, it would be quite cool for other decks to get support. At the moment, I’m happy with this stuff and super excited to try it out!

      • kuroisepu on September 10, 2024 12:19 am

I find it funny that every time a certain deck receives support, there will always be someone that comes out that cries about a certain deck they like didn’t get the support they want, if you don’t have any patience, then keep crying.

      • ... on September 10, 2024 1:46 am

The bloat already felt nauseating after the wind duelist pack and that wasn’t even that long ago. With only 1 terminal world set per year it’s going to take a while to get through all those themes. Never mind that things like jurrac should get more than 4 cards but here we are.

Yuri already had a main set but I’m still hoping for something that restores the burn effects of the starving venom series à la nightmare pain or malefic territory. I can’t be bothered to look up the total card differentials between PK, PP, and SR.

    30. ... on September 10, 2024 1:36 am

After cooling off and skimming the walls of text I guess I should say something nice about the bloat?
*an incentive to use Yugo’s base ace
      * the second ephemerate effect in ygo though ygo has no fun ways to abuse that outside of resetting soft OPTs I guess?

You could make an extra deck of nothing but negate wind synchro dragons with no duplicates.
