Ocg and Tcg banlists really feel like L vs Light yagami
WTF ? What is the dark combo they had found to ban Catapult Turtle ? XD
with Catapult turtle can ftk with 2 level 8
You search it with Seventh Tachyon and tribute a 16k atk Numeron Dragon with it. Easily made with Horus and the new Tachyon cards.
Just for context, I covered it in a CDP a few weeks ago if you want to see it in action: https://ygorganization.com/cdp_koakitachyon/
@Mickaël I believe it was am FTK utilizing the new tachyon support.
SP slowly descending into the abyss
How do they manage to make their banlist even more L than the tcg ones
So we’re hitting one of the Gimmick Puppet boss monsters, but it isn’t either of the ones part of a 1.5 card FTK. Aight then.
So much for them hitting Maxx “C” what even was the point of making Multchummy Purulia
The archetype of Multchummy isn’t finished, maybe when it’s done they’ll consider hitting Maxx.
@Federplayer The least they can do is to semi-limit Maxx C just to let the players know that they are considering getting rid of the card in the future. Now players can play it a MAAAXX copies along with Multichummy Purulia. Not looking good for the next few formats in the OCG.
@JL-Kun I have serious doubts that they’ll hit Maxx in the foreseeable future. OCG seems to look at it with different eyes than other formats.
What’s the point of making new cards? I too wonder why they bother.
I am sorry but you guys are actually stupid for thinking Purulia is a Maxx C 1:1
@JL-Kun Purulia is only good against decks like Snake-Eyes Fire King. It is not doing much right now. A video in YT was trying to gaslight us that the OCG has broke the game with Purulia but it’s just not true. Barely played in Asian Nationals AND in the previous YCSJ.
Why Kaiser Colliseum again?
Konami hates control more than OTK.
Tenpai
Ah yes “control”. I summon floodgate and flip few more floodgates, unlike those resource management fake control decks.
Sangen summoning is a nice hit, tenpai will have to search it now
Ash and bonfire to reduce snake-eyes consistency, they will still be the best deck but more fire kings and rescue-ace will be seen
Konamis intern forgot maxx c again
Dragon Rulers being back at 2 each is kinda worrying. Even after so many years this deck still is pretty damn scary and there was a lot of dragon-related things released during their absense that may end being abused by them.
Agreed. I hope that if that’s the case they’ll return them to 1 instead of scapegoating other cards like they did in 2013-14.
cousin they’re all at 3 with galaxy tomahawk legal in MD and they’re positively terrible
there’s basically no dragon deck that actually wants them
Great for fusion or link fodders for Five headed dragon or Five headed link dragon. Both accepts any dragon, as it is 5 of them
Yubel left unchecked. Let’s see whether they will get more broken or not.
Nah man yubel is just a fun otk deck.. not a problem at all~
Yubel is not a meta card, whad do you mean?
Yubel is not a meta card. And never will. Yes, annoying in the right hands, but meta? No! I think you can negate Yubel’s floating effects with Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring, I think? Even Makinko can deal with Yubel well
what is blud @Stardust even yapping about
Yubel is literally one of the top 3 decks of the format
Tachyion FTK
Can you guys list the original placement(banned/limited/semi-limited/unlimited) on the OCG banlist, please? Because we are TCG players here, and most of us don’t remember what was the placement of the these cards originally.
Huh why catapult turtle ?
Tachyon FTK
Just a little bit more and SP will be banned for good. That card was such a mistake.
Konami be like, create their own problems for money and then limit it for good 🤡
I can’t believe that you’re intelligent enough to work out our genius strategy. For years, we’ve been getting away with this, but now we’ll have to stop. Please accept our sincerest apologies, and the “Smartest Guy In The Comments” award
Thank you, Konami employeer. I appreciate you for being sarcastic. Now stop making the fun and nostalgic bait deck and focus to create more problems like Tier 0 and engines for OTK enabler! Screw format diversity, we have floodgates for the answer!
Also runick support, please:)
Rephrase, not OTK but FTK
Will they ban Maxx “C” in the future? Seen that card alot in alot of decks, even in fun decks lol. And I never play Maxx C, as it is already abused by so many players lol. I play casual only
Not soon, I think. I’ve never cared about it cause most of my decks aren’t combo and don’t need it nor suffer a lot against it.
Thanks for the info
Lol this is why people on Twitter can’t stop saying about Yugioh being dying
I wonder how many more times they’ll have to errata Catapult Turtle to make it abuse-proof.
People actually expected Maxx “C” to be banned when playing around it for years has been an OCG feature and not a bug?
because these “people” think that every yugioh formats need to follow TCG since its far far superior and the only pure yugioh out there
why TCG player always think that yugioh were revolves around them
>official sim game releases (md)
nooooo it doesn’t have the same card pool as TCG and their banlist is weird unlike TCG, BAAAADDD
>OCG
Oh-Sea-Jee? why they have Maxx C???!!!! TCG Banned that card years agooooooo BAAAAAADDDDDD
Sums up the mentality in a nutshell. Which is getting annoying.
MD is more of TCG, than OCG, these days. Funny people like you guys are crying over meta cards is funny. You and Wxeiss are funny af. Keep crying TCG player
Beatrice getting away with war crimes yet again. Limiting Snake-Eye Ash basically is just saying “buy Fiendsmith cards lol” since the engine dumps it to the GY to revive with Promethean Princess or can slam a double negate onto your board for free if you’ve already opened combo, and even comes packaged with removal if going 2nd.
Vindication for goat format list that banned turtle and limited scientist. Not that Catapult Turtle was ever a good adaptation of the flavor so I won’t shed a tear. I’ve a better idea –
Tap Catapult Turtle; sacrifice another creature to destroy target permanent with defender
Otks shouldn’t be a thing regardless of sorching but here we are.
Catapult Turtle wouldn’t be hard to fix anyway. Something like a damage cap or if you would turn your opponent’s life points to 0, it becomes 500(or whatever) and they can’t damage for the rest of the turn.
The problem was outright that is had no cap on damage or real restrictions. The fact being a soft once per turn was irrelevant anyway says something.
Either way, Scientist needs to have a hard cap on summons, and especially can’t summon effect monsters(as one of the later Destiny HERO fusions allowed you to win anyway). Basically, a Ready Fusion-like erratum is the requirement here to fix it.
Thankfully the other burn cards can work with a hard once per turn since they deal pitiful damage. They also found a more proper way to fix Dark Strike Fighter(though unlike Catapult Turtle, it had far more restrictions placed on it, that and it had no potential to be nearly as easy to win with).
Useless banlist they still had number 1: infection buzzking for FTK
Weird how I can’t find… a recording of said FTK anywhere by searching for it. Maybe it’s just… very much not known yet? Which is why it wouldn’t get hit. If it’s barely there, it lacks consistency to justify it. Sure, they might switch to that, but I wouldn’t bet on it having the same strength either way.
It was also released a year ago, so of course it hasn’t had time to become a threat. Especially since Catapult Turtle was a threat and would’ve been banned if it didn’t get the erratum in 2014. It’s just that new support showed a new situation that it couldn’t have accounted for… like 9 years ago. Future-proofing can only go so far.
I’m not seeing this issue here. Just something that maybe could happen… if things work out. Like, I’m all for killing FTK cards too, but unless there’s a way to consistently make it work, not “sometimes happens”, it’s basically a joke hit. There’s also better stuff to address than a card that requires way too much setup. Like going after Numeron Dragon after. Or, for that matter, fixing this card with some kind of erratum since it’s shown stuff like this can potentially cause trouble. At least it’s early enough of a release that it’s not hard to do. It was also released way before the Tachyon support, using a method that at least was more of an attempt to make it harder to FTK with during its design period. So the fact a new thing came up that could potentially cause trouble came out isn’t really its fault for sticking around right now. It’s just something you can’t account for that easily. If you honestly think they can always account for FTK’s, you’re sorely mistaken. There’s absolutely no way they were even designed at the same time, so how can they account for that? This isn’t like Dark Matter Dragon, who was clearly designed to make the Dragon Rulers extra powerful as a justification to ban them either. This is a case where one card was redesigned to avoid problems at the time, another was designed to avoid problems in the first place, and another set was not designed with these in mind.
Great news for Chaos engine decks, now they can run Bulb at 3. In DL, Bulb is barely used, I think it is because most players run 20-22 card decks, and most of the mill decks use Naturia as engine, not Lightsworn
