Interesting Details:
– In addition to confirming that the Animated Shorts will have voices, it appears that the Animated Shorts will depend on the Archetype: Sky Striker will only cover two months, and Branded starts in June after Sky Striker ends. It seems that Branded will cover the remainder of the year.
– Advance Pack: Devil’s Ceremony sounds like a Pack focused on Fiend Decks. We may see support for Blaze Fiends, Royal Rebels, or Summoned Skulls here.
The advanced pack bane is likely a reference to the old OCG pack Dark Ceremony special pack which released a handful of Ritual Monster and their Ritual Spells.

I guess it makes sense, although Dark Ceremony had the OG BLS as its Cover at the time.
In this case, it looks like we’ll be getting Summoned Skull Ritual, if the name of the pack is anything to go by (though I’d prefer a pack focused on supporting various Fiend Decks in Rush Duels)
Devil’s Ceremony implies we might get the Summoned Skull Ritual and may be a reference to Devil’s Sanctuary
Albaz storyline getting more than a couple episodes is good news. Hopefully it can be done justice, since it’s a pretty loaded and full storyline.

What’s the problem?
Everyone wanted an anime around archetypes with lore
Introducing new monsters (actual characters from The Chronicles) and spells/traps (scenes or objects used in said anime) might be a more interesting approach than the simple old recipe of “Character uses new card out of thin air -> new card is printed”. After 25 years, It gets really hard to build hype around new cards using this formula, but imagine a new fusion monster based on the recent form that Albas took during the last episode for example.
Even if just to try it out, I’d like to experiment with a card game who’s supporting anime is not the card game itself, but the world it’s set in (like Chaotic without the humans part).

Eventually we’ll reach the point where the only set I give a **** about is Premium Pack and even that is technically not safe from deck builder pack influence.
Looks like it might get replaced this year with 3 GX packs having 10 new anime cards in each.
Unfortunately the event was a bit underwhelming …
Well, I’d say this Yu-Gi-Oh’s Nintendo Direct did its job: it brought news of upcoming OCG and Rush Duels Packs, as well as updates on the Lore Archetypes’s Animated Shorts.

so…not only Duelist Pack is no more (replaced by Tactical try Pack)…there might be no Animation Chronicles 2025 Pack also?

Think its getting replaced with 3 GX packs each with 10 anime cards. First pack announced is labeled Osiris Red so gotta expect Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue later this year.
Idk. The Gx Mega Pack got a Red and Yellow pack. But we never did get the Blue one.

They should have made the rush sd into an ocg SD what a dumb marketing move.
