“We’re the biggest”
This is the first 2 day Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Japan event, in honor of 10 years.
Up to 8,000 Duelists will gather in Tokyo, and one Duelist will take home the gold.
Location: Tokyo Big Site, Halls 4 5 and 6 in the eastern portion of the building
8000 Duelists are anticipated
Contestants will be chosen by advance application and lottery.
Konami plans to try and break the Las Vegas Grand Prix for Magic the Gathering’s record from 2015, and gain the Guiness World Records for Maximum Number of Card Game Tournament Entries and Biggest Trading Card Tournament.
Konami notes and requests attendees note that they will be asking attendees to accept Japanese privacy laws will be voided for the purposes of live streaming, photos and videos of the event.
Matches for the event will be Best of 1 Duels for both the preliminaries (Swiss Draw Format) and elimination style finals.

At the same time, Konami will be hosting Duelist Festival Tokyo 2024, which is essentially free play/side events, that also require a Lottery set up. Also, people who go X-2 in the YCSJ will be allowed to join.
There will be a Diabellstar Duel Set for 4000 Yen
It includes a Special Rubber Duel Field, 100 Sleeves, and an Ultra Rare version of “Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye”
Also on sale the 28th will be a 100 Protector Set of Diabeelze, and the 29th has a 100 Protector Set of Dragon Master Magia, both for 900 Yen

Man, the OCG gets all this cool stuff. The TCG? How about 2 days of Billy Brake commentating to make your ears bleed? Isn’t that fun?

I don’t know if this is true but I heard somewhere that he is responsible for the TCG exclusive artwork like Ashened. If I’m wrong then please correct me. But I still wouldn’t wish anyone to lose their job.
This event will be very interesting. I wonder, will there be event coverage that we can watch on twitch or youtube or anywhere for that matter? I would love to watch how this event unfolds.
