Well, for Mimighoul, it’s essentially just WAKE CUP Mocha, but it can make Giant Mimighoul. Probably not good enough.
I think Mimighouls are pretty good idk. I don’t know why ppl act like they are trash
Nah it’s good enough. The only issue with wake cup is that It’s level 3 so a level 1 version is kinda bonkers
Oh, I love Mimighoul, still genuinely a playable deck. I’m just not sure an extender only searchable through maker that doesn’t benefit us when we give it to the opponent is worth playing over other cards that we could play instead
I imagine if they keep printing these an attempt at using Main Deck Shaddolls might become marginally not terrible.
Personally I think they could do retrains of the two Shaddoll Zefra monsters. With the kinds of unusual things they’ve tried with Pendulums these days (Nemleria, Vaalmonica), the fact the Zefras just have a Pendulum Summon lock for Pendulum “Effects” seems like a travesty.
I understand that they can’t go too crazy with the effects of promotional cards, but I feel like they’ve been overcompensating too much lately
They can always reprint the card if necessary.
Depends if Shueisha wants to allow a reprint. Reminder, Konami is just the company licensing the game from various other business partners.
But there’s also been historically too many cases of essentially scalpers and scam artists grifting on overly strong promos.
There are promo cards from like 20 years ago that still haven’t been reprinted…
Its why Subscription promos shouldn’t be anything more than the novelty side cards in manga decks. There’s no guarantee they’ll ever get reprinted. Not within the decade.
Mediocre card
Solid card
Yep, primarily for Mimighoul. That said, all flip decks but Enneacraft can benefit from this guy. Enneacraft doesn’t really need it.
This would be a funny card in Enneacraft. Not good, but funny.
How about that? Another Flip monster that doesn’t have a Flip effect. It has a Trigger effect that activates upon being flipped face-up, but that’s not the same thing. The only other Flip monster without a Flip effect that I can think of is Deus X-Krawler. Kinda cool, I guess.
It’s a flip effect, OCG has stopped putting REVERSE in card text for a while now.
Tindangle support let’s go
On the note of this card, I really hope that Konami eratas all of their other monster with pseudo flip effects to actually become flip effect monsters
The only ones which work this way (aka have a effect which is a flip effect, but no flipp in the card text) are the cups, des X crawler, the new enneacrafts, and now this card, but there are still so soooo many missing
It would be really nice to have all the suprisingly good flip monster support actually function with all of these cards that are flip monsters in spirit
One step closer to competitive Master of HAM deck
Wish it was better. The only real use case is the fact it’s a level one extender (and that already requires another monster to be set). The second effect targets and isn’t a quick effect (and burn? right after the rule changes to EOM procedures?) And the third effect is just a throwaway effect lifted from the original card for
“flavor”.
My take? I will not be wasting my time with this card.
What’s the issue with the effect targeting? Unless there are FOUR+ set monsters on the field then your opp always knows what is gonna be flip face up.
Would only matter if you wanted to chain an effect that puts a monster face down, but you could use that effect before Panther?
About the first effect, being a lv1 extender sounds good, you always have a Mimighoul in your opp field that you can flip and go xyz with both, unless Mimighoul is already full of ways to flip face up or prefer to only do that on the opp turn.
It is a promo card at the end of the day so it’s for the best if it just works as a little of support for the deck, of it was way better it would be harder to obtain
That’s the entire point? This + any mimighoul makes giant and potentially gives you ton of advantage.
It’s a good card, the flip effect is there because it allows this card to be used with maker without making it catastrofic if it lands on opp’s field. It’s alright.
@cardtrooper Yes your opponent will probably know what card(s) you are going to be flipped up, but knowledge isn’t the issue. It’s that your opponent can react better to a targeting effect and do something with the monster so your card resolves without effect. As for the flipping itself, Mimighoul has several ways in-and-out of archetype to flip cards face up, and it is preferred to flip on your opponent’s turn for disruption or in response to a card they activate. This is a slow effect that, while multi-targeting, can be done better by already-existing cards. I won’t argue that it is an okay generic card, especially for a promo, but it just isn’t worth the hype.
It’s good though. Mimighoul can really use level 1 extenders that can be searched with maker. This card is just that and it’s also just good overall
The effect doesn’t fizzle if one of the targets leaves the field before resolution, it is a “them” effect, not a “those cards” like Pot of Avarice.
for enneacraft it can damage opponent 6300 on first turn
I’m surprised nobody’s mentioning this is related to Treasure Panda as both have normal monster related effects…
