Don’t get snared right away…

Level 2 WATER Aqua Tuner Effect Monster
ATK 400
DEF 300
If a monster(s) is Special Summoned by your Trap effect (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY, but if you Special Summon from the GY, banish it when it leaves the field.
• During your opponent’s Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can activate 1 of these effects;
• Immediately after it resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control.
• Immediately after it resolves, Xyz Summon using this card you control.
You can only use each effect of “Magicolloidal Sol” once per turn.
Note: The Sol here seems to be short for Soldier. Colloid means “Gelatinous”.

Is a continuous trap-monster a monster summoned by trap effect ?
yes
Mokey smackdown intensifies
yes, Centurion’s is one of the latest example
Paleo support
From start to finish this is definitely a gold mine for Paleo, Paleo Frog, and/or Paleo with a side of Spright.
That being said, Sol could also be good in something that can, instead, swing making a Level 7 or 8 Synchro — it’d be nice to be able to drop Black Rose or Whale during the Battle Phase. BRD deployer for Eldlich, perhaps?
Could be crazy but seems mildly like labrynth support
They are cards that can be integrated into any strategy but personally I agree that Paleo benefits the most with these new cards
Level 2 Aqua trap support, it’s a Paleo in all but name
Cool.
Why does Valmina Dragon exist when Metaphys Decoy Dragon exists with the same Level, Same Scales, and that monster is a tuner!?
@Alpha, they very much serve different purposes and intentions.
Gee, it’s almost like one’s an archetype specific card while the other is a generic for an entirely different deck/strategy (also, Decoy Dragon isn’t a Tuner).
These comment sections are an absolute goldmine of stupidity.
Sol is decent in Paleo, everything else is bad
I dunno, that Pend seems like it’d slot well in Lab. Free additional disruption on both Welcomes + Level 2 LIGHT body to enable full power Chaos Angel. It doesn’t even get Fiend locked by Lab since it is Special Summoned from the pend zone.
Valmina IS good in paleo
CoTH/Back To The Front support?
I didn’t say it explicitly because I thought it was clear that it was implicit, but when I said that paleo benefited from the new cards I was talking about the trap and Sol, ignoring the pendulum card
Sol was almost amazing but I read it again and saw “During your opponent’s BATTLE phase” and went back to the usual staples.
Well at least the exclusive archetypes have been good recently, if not the free agents
Wowee. Tha Monster is a must in Paleo, can make anything on the opponent’s turn, Arc Light for negates or if it was unbanned, Toadally.
Welp, one more reason it can’t get out of the banlist lol.
Toadally is not banned in the TCG 😉
as a Centurion/White Forest player, Magicolloidal Sol puts a smile on my face, I can spam Silvera again and again
