      I don’t really understand why Konami is doing this for Rush Duels instead of the OCG/TCG, especially for an archetype like Red Eyes that needs more help being cohesive

        Rush Duel seems to be heavily emphasizing in its… 4th year? Legacy support for popular OCG monsters that were introduced as Legend monsters to make them have playable Decks.

        And because Shueisha and TV Tokyo told them to.

        Red-Eyes in the OCG/TCG has its own issues of avoiding too much consistency because otherwise it becomes a malicious negate deck with a lot of burn, so they’re likely cautious on supporting it too much.

        Agreed, red-eyes is in need of a good wave that gives it direction and finally puts out current cards to actually WORK with each other

      Fish Depth Charge (most likely as a Legend and requirement reworked much like Icarus Attack before it) probably means Maguto Sogetsu’s cards end up in here. It is even listed before the standalone monsters so it is more important.

      I’m definitely excited for Red-Eyes, but I’m almost more excited for more Celeb Rose cards and Fish getting actual support! Fish have literally had nothing since the Nail arc of SEVENS, so I’m excited to finally see them get some support.

      So:

      – Besides the obvious Yuamu’s Dragon support, we also have more Celeb Rose (LIGHT Spellcaster)
      – Red-Eyes support is focused on Meteor Dragon apparently. They even have an exclusive Fusion Spell Card.
      – There must be some Fish support here as there would be no point in printing that OCG/TCG Trap Card in Rush Duels.
      – The last cards appear to be Plant and WATER Warrior.

      There are still hidden things, like the Monster on the pack cover or some actual Darkness Monster, but it’s pretty solid this first look (Dark Magician is the only one that doesn’t have a Rush Duels-style Deck revamp so far)

      Sigh. Nothing but wasted opportunities and disappointments. Konami then wonder why the YGO card markets are plummeting. Rush Duels & Speed Duels are horrible for older and newer players, FOCUS ON THE ARCHETYPES THAT NEED HELP SUCH AS DARK MAGICIAN. DAMN!!!

      Rush duel will finally have a solid playerbase now that Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes and dark magician are getting support.

      Why can’t we get damn NEW support for Dark Magician in TCG/OCG? Is that too much to ask for Konami? Nobody, I mean, nobody is intetested in Rush Duels and Speed Duels. STOP PRINTING THEM AND FOCUS ON DARK MAGICIAN IN THE TCG. DARK MAGICIAN SUFFERS WITH CONSISTENCY, DRAW POWER, AND OMNI NEGATES. FIX IT!!! ALSO MAKE A NEW BUSTER BLADER CARD THAT CAN BE SEARCHED IN DM DECKS!!

        Lol, DM got a full wave of support along side blue eyes VERY recently. Red-eyes is the black sheep there

      It looks red-eyes is going for a burn route in rush duels, with red-boot/reboot, the new meteors apparently cause burn, if they get the “its name becomes red-eyes black dragon on the field” we can use inferno fire blast on them too and not only on the original vanilla
