Well that’s a surprise, Hungry Burger is now in Rush Duel after they got support in the main game, as Nouvelles.
That Zerato is very interesting, and Pluto Wyvern is FINALLY a GY name for Jupiter, now we can have some fun
what does jupiter have to do with graveyard names?
I think the user got confused with Red-Eyes Pluto Dragon, the Red-Eyes Monster allows Fusion Summon using the GY (where Red-Eyes Pluto Wyvern acquires the name “Red-Eyes Dragon” to be used in Fusion Monsters)
Okay, there are some interesting things to discuss.
– Finally, Rush’s Red-Eyes has another monster that takes the name Red-Eyes in the GY thanks to Red-Eyes Pluto Wyvern. It’s also a recycler of Calling Dark Meteor, the Backrow created especially for Red-Eyes that became generic.
– Handy Lady receives an Alternate Art to showcase another of her Works. Handy Partners is a bit disappointing since it’s not an Omege Psychic or a Contact Fusion. That said, I’m glad Konami is trying to tie in all the Handy Lady-centric single cards.
– Zerato, Angel of the Sanctuary is the upcoming Zera support in the Pack. Its effect is somewhat underwhelming or weak, but it’s an improvement over the other Zera’s Ritual Monsters (how Konami will put it all together in a single Deck remains to be seen)
– Abad the Negahell Emperor seems to be a free Dragias for any Deck. It fits well with Summoned Skull Deck due to the DARK Fiend combo. The Effect of Partial Destruction of the Holy Tower suggests that Konami is going to give Maximum Decks a bit of a boost since Maximum Monsters are immune to that Trap Card.
– Hungry Burger is a surprise. I don’t know if that means it’ll receive its own Deck here or be a loose Ritual Monster that will receive support later (everything seems to indicate it will be its own Deck with new cards from this Pack)
hungry is likely getting a deck here
HUNGRY BURGUER BRRRR
lets get this out of the way now instead of later.
Ahem, “Yo is that an xyz monster?”.
It clearly isn’t but it’s very interesting to see them mess around with frame color for vanity rares, esp a color that kinda like, immediately brings up questions in regards to future game mechanics.
nah its a new rarity “over premium black” so far including this card there’s 3 cards of this rarity that had been release
yea I figured i’d just get that assertion out of the way in case anyone actually thought it was an xyz monster, i’m aware of the black rares.
I wonder what sort of deck they’ll do with Hungry Burger. I can’t imagine it won’t have one but it seems unlikely we’d get Nouvelles unless they changed absolutely everything about them.
Nouvelles couldn’t come to Rush Duels considering they already have Pendulum Monsters (and I doubt they’d announce a Mechanic like that when they’re just introducing/promoting Rituals)
I can see them taking a different route with Hungry Burger (if they want to make a Deck for it or if it’s just a random addition to the Pack). The most fitting one would be: Food-like Monsters (like Hungry Donut or Hungry Taco)
Nouvelles’ approach is more focused on the Hungry Burger’s preparation: Chefs, Restaurant, and Demonic Entities that represent each food (however, no Monster is literally a Food-like Monster)
Since Rush Duel uses extensive puns on cards (hence avoiding naming what archetype they are by name, instead they used the combination between, ATK/DEF stat, Level, Type, and Attribute to group the cards within the theme itself.), I would argue that the team behind Rush Duels should take a drastic approach for Hungry Burger. What if food ingredients can be part of what makes a sentient Hungry Burger as monsters, as for Spells and Traps, are the cooking styles, supplementary condiments and ingredients, and/or materials used to cook. Whereas extra deck monsters such as Rituals, can also be other versions of the Hungry Burger, such as one commenter mentioned above (if they expand on the theme or as a random pack filler + its ritual spell).
Pluto Wyvern being treated as REBD in the GY means it can be fused back into the Deck with Pluto Dragon, which Wyvern recovers and can be Tributed to go into. You can also recover Calling Dark Meteor which this card’s requirement helps meet.
Hungry Burger also means Hamburger’s Recipe is in the set. Without an effect and a Deck to support it though it is kinda underpowered.
Zerato confirms a new Ritual Spell to go into him, and heavily implies Mazera down the line. The effect is kinda weak as it only affects a Level 8 or below, especially since you need prior set up (Zera or one of the other Rituals in the GY).
Handy Partners implies a built in Fusion summon within the theme. The effect is really good. Generic mill 2, can set any Spell/Trap milled or Secret Order/New Start. Fusion Stats imply Handy Girl is low level.
Abed is very mediocre compared to the past two Premium Black ORRs. It will likely come with its own dedicated support and recovery like the others.
Crisis at the Sacred Tower receives a new variant. Though a bit costly you are either able to destroy or shuffle an opponent’s summoned monster back into the Deck, as long as it’s not a Maximum or vanilla.
