Very nice support, meant to help push the theme while dissuading the FTK effect-damage variant.

Pack cover was also shown, which heavily implies Necroz.

      • N on October 13, 2024 11:54 pm

The FTK is still viable and it is actually a bit easier to use than before.

We already known when they will be revealed.

      • N on October 14, 2024 2:47 am

We only have 23 cards left of which anywhere from 3-12 will be revealed during set openings.
We know the remaining anime slots and the last legacy cards will be revealed during the stream and scheduled social media posts on Wednesday and during the weekends. Just be patient.

    10. HFIL on October 14, 2024 12:31 am

So the last archetype is Nekroz. Think they’ll finally get a trap so Clausolas can finally stop changing the subject when people ask “what traps do you search?”? Even Smiger beat the allegations.

    11. Sharkaon on October 14, 2024 12:34 am

It is sooo funny how they kept the FTK variant from accessing the best effects in the new wave, very clever way to balance it

    12. GG on October 14, 2024 12:35 am

The new gem card is kind Crack. Gem plus primite. Might be crazy deck. Give nekro a trap card

      • GG on October 14, 2024 12:37 am

Fix necroz of dance princess effect. Still spelled wrong in its text

    13. Logic Bomb on October 14, 2024 12:36 am

So what’s the lore implication? This makes me think the Shadoll control was gradual or did they not actually die?

      • Nyurgh on October 14, 2024 12:47 am

I think this implies that Dia was able to save the corrupted members. Not fully, but enough to restore their sanity.

      • Blexander on October 14, 2024 5:46 am

I think the lore implications are:
This is the version of Diamond shortly before he dies. Notice how he lacks his sword, because he gave it to Sombre.
GK Hollowcore and Construct are good guys here, with Lapis being revived for the final fight vs Tierra after losing her Batlamyus form. If they were anything but GKs, it would be debatable if they were good guys or not.

      • Flackenstien on October 14, 2024 6:02 am

I think these cards take place before the Zefra are formed by the Sacred Tree.
Nepyrim confuses me though, because I assumed the Link Shaddoll Construct was brought to Tierra. Is this Lapis Lazuli or did they split up? Her gemstone looks like Sophia’s symbol.

      • Blexander on October 14, 2024 7:14 am

@Flackenstein I forget how Gem-Knights fuse, but I think that Lazuli just helped Lapis become Lapis Lazuli, since Lazuli lacks a pyrozene, and Lapis probably didn’t survive the battle. Then Lazuli went on fuse with Virgo into Seraphinite, and later with 12 Constellars into Sombre. The thing is, Shaddolls didn’t exist before dead Zirconia/Cairngorgon/Shaddoll Core, so Nephillim (good job mistranslating ygorg), can’t exist before Zefras, because she has aspects of Construct in her design and the name alone is proof enough, imo.

      • Flackenstien on October 14, 2024 5:06 pm

Zefra appeared way after Shaddoll though. Shaddoll put the whole 3rd act in motion, while Zefra were the final theme to appear and swiftly win the battle, with many sacrifices.

Voidroots is clearly Zecracore before it got blessed by the Sacred Tree and then became part of Zefraath.

      • Blexander on October 15, 2024 2:16 am

I worded my comment poorly. What I meant was that GK Construct and GK Hollowcore can’t exist before Zefras because up until Tierra was released, El Shaddoll Construct was still active as Anoyatillis, and considering Crystal became Cairngorgon after dying, and then later became Shaddoll Core. Plus, Hollow and Core existed as separate entities for a while. Also, I believe at the end of DT3 it’s stated that after the battle, 2 GK stood at the destroyed world tree. If GK Hollowcore and Construct existed before Zefras, they wouldn’t be GKs. They would be Shaddolls.

    14. Bruno Santo on October 14, 2024 12:39 am

I find it kind of funny that Konami prevented these new Gem-Knights from being used for FTK and nerfed them outright to prevent them from being used in that strategy (being the strategy that Gem-Knights used to be viable in the first place)

    15. Joshua Seed on October 14, 2024 12:46 am

I want more Pyramid 🔺of Light support.

      • Nikoness on October 14, 2024 1:08 am

What “more support” if it never had any to begin with? What kind of strategy….

      • morphine jar on October 14, 2024 3:09 am

what does that have to do with anything from the Duel Terminal world?

      • Design on October 14, 2024 4:43 am

@morphine jar I think Joshua Seed is Justin Jones because he had a habit of commenting irrelevant “I want ____ support” and other similar complaints on articles unrelated to what he was saying.

    16. Iris "Princess-Knight" Saintclaire on October 14, 2024 1:02 am

utena jumpscare, neoark cultured as always
the effect damage clause on two of these is incredibly funny, text that would Not appear on any other archetype, they’re soooo afraid of the ftk lmao
at least these r better than the last wave of gem knight support; appropriately this is “gem knight in Terminal World” guys as opposed to “gem knight as used by that one girl in arc-v (who deserved better)” guys
anyways smoldoll construct so important, proud of lapis for keeping her dollgirl digs even after returning to normal

      • Blexander on October 14, 2024 5:42 am

She’s technically not back to normal. The card is most likely Lapis being revived for the final fight vs Tierra, and in turn, she retained some aspects of Construct. In Zefra Providence, she’s fully back to normal, but is going with Crystal to the afterlife.

    17. HFIL on October 14, 2024 1:16 am

Summoning 3 extra deck monsters is crazy

      • N on October 14, 2024 1:37 am

Too bad the majority of them are crap and don’t do anything on the opponent’s turn.

    18. ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 1:25 am

Konami: We’re making a set for those old forgotten Duel Terminal themes finally getting some fresh support.
Konami: Chooses several of the most supported themes of Duel Terminal while a dozen or more other themes continue to languish.

      • Kronk on October 14, 2024 1:32 am

Yeah this has been pretty frustrating. Still so many Terminal World archetypes that desperately need help just left to rot.

      • N on October 14, 2024 1:40 am

Most DT archetypes are crap and need a significant upgrade to even function, plus a set like this one is only guaranteed to sell if the themes in here are or were viable. So don’t expect things like Flamvell or Mist Valley if we can instead have Fabled and Nekroz. Gem-Knight also benefited from the FTK and anime support it got.

      • Flackenstien on October 14, 2024 4:22 am

The problem is that they can’t really support some of those bad ones with only 4 new cards.
Jurrac only worked because Dinosaur as a type has some of the best support in the entire game.

People keep wanting Ally of Justice support, for example, but they don’t even have 2 cards that do ANYTHING together. The best AoJ support as of now is literally Flamvell Magician.

I’d rather, in a set like this, that they gave well designed cards to decks that can work with the right support. The Genex stuff is a great example. They always had a million non-OPT searchers but had no way to use them. Now they can function as a deck.

I hope the next DT set is like Laval, Vylon, X-Saber, and Worm. 4 cards for each of those could go far, and I could see a wave of XX-Sabers and an MX-Saber Link releasing not to long after then.
All decks with a good foundation to expand from, rather than having to make a whole new strategy for Flamvell, AoJ, or Mist Valley.

I still want a Gusto Structure deck though.. but they honestly don’t need support as much as some other DT archetypes.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 5:36 pm

The Neo Flamvell (second generation of Flamvell) all are pure Pyro and have a collective focus on dumping Flamvells in the GY and banishing cards in your opponent’s GY to benefit from your opponent having low amount of cards in the GY. The two Flamvell synchros are just sad though. I’d give them maybe 1 new Neo Flamvell main deck monster to solidify the play style and two completely new Neo Flamvell synchros that also focus more on banishing opponents grave for benefits. Then maybe a proper Field Spell.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 6:03 pm

A Field Spell that involves preventing your opponent from responding to GY Banishment and then if it’s in the GY it can negate a card effect activated in either GY, banish the negated card to place itself back in the Field Zone.

      • HFIL on October 15, 2024 1:42 pm

@Flackenstien tbf Jurracs completely changed their gameplan, cause it was (to be charitable) outdated.

      • Flackenstien on October 16, 2024 2:45 am

@HFIL Yes, but like I said, they already have every Dino support to be merged with and for Konami to consider when designing the new Jurracs, which they clearly did.

    19. Snow on October 14, 2024 1:33 am

No lswarms 🙁 Maybe next time.

    20. Jin on October 14, 2024 1:35 am

The last archetype looks more like gishki. The red hair girl looks like gishki Emilia and the guy looks like the grow up version of gishki avance.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 1:41 am

Maybe Konami will finally oblige with the missing WATER attribute Ritual spell after this. FIRE and WATER still waiting for their spells. Eh, then again, FIRE WATER and WIND still waiting for their Hex-Sealed Fusion monsters.

      • Arya on October 14, 2024 1:42 am

Thing is-gishkis and nekrozs are the same dudes

      • Arya on October 14, 2024 1:43 am

Thing is-gishkis and nekrozs are the same dudes, just at different times of the story. I think they are nekrozs due to the style and age appearance of the dudes, + gishki got support not long ago

      • Xuis on October 14, 2024 1:50 am

See what Id like to see is a few bridges between nekroz and gishki.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 3:12 am

Arya, Gem-Knight got support not long ago either but here we are.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 3:17 am

        *too , no ‘either’

      • Jonas on October 14, 2024 9:03 am

ScionStorm but the guy on the image is holding the nekroz mirror not any gishki ones and these 2 characters are adults just like they are in the nekroz ritual monster cards on the gishki cards they look like teens

    21. Joshua Seed on October 14, 2024 1:49 am

If we ever get new Worm support I think a Miracle Fusion for Reptiles would really help the deck alot. Just combo it with Snake Rain and you can just Turbo out Worm Zero.

      • ScionStorm on October 14, 2024 3:15 am

If we get new Worm support I want a new fusion called Worm One and a new main deck Worm that starts with Z. Let the fusions of the deck be numerical while the main deck be alphabetical.

      • Pot the Trick on October 14, 2024 8:12 pm

They could make a Worm with some Vylon powers and give a a Greek letter. e.g. Worm Alpha

    22. thebaseddd2 on October 14, 2024 2:46 am

They really have something against the gen 1 themes don’t they? Kek anti-ftk clauses, not sure how much that will help. Anyway I feel nothing, I was already fine with gem- as they were thanks to the non-rock support. Even in the ancient days they had this vexing loop-ish feeling and recurring resources. I swear they already had like 5 monsters that sorch on summon. Thought that was gishki art for a sec but even if that was the case I doubt there would be new payoffs for the scry aspect of the deck.

    23. Flackenstien on October 14, 2024 3:32 am

I was looking at my Gem-Knights with a somber sense of longing earlier today, and then they drop this.

This is such good support. The burn halving is hilarious. Do they stack or does it only get halved once?

    24. Naransolongo_BB on October 14, 2024 4:31 am

More excited that Nekroz support is practically confirmed. Gem-Knights are alright but the only interesting part about them is being I think the only lore archetype used by an anime character

      • Joshua Seed on October 14, 2024 4:32 am

Constellar/ X – Saber: Are we a joke to you?

    25. TheROoNCo on October 14, 2024 6:14 am

Personal bias, but more Gem-Knights is always a good thing, they’re one of my favorite Archetypes! Shaddoll Core’s part of them now but I wonder if this means we’re getting a DARK or Fiend fusion like the Light/Fairy ones we already have.

    26. William on October 14, 2024 6:31 am

OH HELL YEAH CAIRN’S GETTING A REPRINT!!!

    27. Fumetsusozo on October 14, 2024 6:38 am

OooOoh! Mini-Construct! Cute! And they even made sure her last effect lets you play it with Shaddolls as a replacement for that subpar Keios card! Can’t wait to include it in my own Shaddoll decks! 😀

    28. Zlando on October 14, 2024 6:46 am

I’m glad we had Jurrac and Fabled.

      What’s next ? Constellar support ? lol.

      • N on October 14, 2024 8:15 am

If we get a third TW Constellar isn’t necessarily off the table. Some meta viability, just recently got new support in a core set like Gem-Knight, huge lore implications connecting them to several other archetypes which Konami has emphasized the themes that have the strongest connections

    29. PallMeTo on October 14, 2024 12:40 pm

TLDR: I think the Nekroz monsters on the promo are based on El Shaddoll Apkallone.

So, I’ve been trying to figure out which monsters the armor of the Nekroz guys on the pack art are based on. I am over 90% sure that we have Emilia (Gishki Emilia) on the left, wearing the armor of El Shaddoll Apkallone (you can see the same design on her dress and wings on the girl in the art of Apkallone). As far as the person on the right, it’s most likely Avance (Gishki Avance), but I am not sure what armor is being worn. It could also be Apkallone (but his armor is based on the fish), but that same blue armor adorned with golden details can be seen in a lot of other monsters (such as Evigishki Neremanas, or even fricking Black Luster Soldier), so I’m not completely certain. The theory that they are both based on Shaddoll Apkallone would explain why they are both appearing together on the promo art, and we can imagine the on field effect would have to do with targeting negation (maybe an effect akin to Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss). Does anyone have another theory?

    30. Blexander on October 14, 2024 1:38 pm

There’s not enough of Apkallone to claim the new Avance is a ritual monster based around it. He’s most likely a new main deck guy. Plus, except for Sophia, all Nekroz rituals are based around synchros.

    31. Mageside on October 14, 2024 4:42 pm

Still waiting on Prophecy support that isn’t Magistus related.

    32. Leon on October 14, 2024 7:00 pm

These things on Nepyrim… Are these shaddoll threads? So is this art Lazuli’s first stage of corruption before she became Nephilim/Construct?
