New “Delirium” Artwork From “Over Force of the Abyss”! [RUSH DUEL]

Her drink will send you into an eternal slumber.

夢中のティーガ Muchu no Teega (Delirium Teega)

I am not sure which species of moth or butterfly this is based on, so I am leaving this as a temporary placeholder.

Apparently, Teega is based on a Tick (in fact, Teega is Tick in French/Portuguese)

And well, not all Delirium Monsters are based on Butterflies/Moths: there are some based on Beetles.

        tf you talking about??
Ticks are called tiques in French, and carrapato/carraça in Portuguese.

        Stop spreading misinformation.

@ExLight. Well, instead of being rude in your comment, it might have been more helpful if we tried to uncover Teega’s origins.

And I’m sure that information is also on Yugipedia, on the “Delirium” page (so… are you also going to say that Yugipedia is misinformed?)

      • ExLight on January 4, 2026 4:51 pm

I don’t care about its origins? I just don’t want nonsensical misinformation being vomited around. Use your brain a bit.

But just to entertain you: ticks don’t even have wings so it’s weirdly ridiculous that you’re claiming it is a tick just because it sounds remotely similar. I’m not sure if it is relevant, but the “Tee” in its name is related to a pun motif involving tea, which may be a reference to an agricultural pest in tea crops like whiteflies, or insects used in the production of insect teas. Alternatively it’s referring to the Tegeticula genus of moths, such as the distinctively white Tegeticula yuccasella. Someone who’s a bit more into entomology can likely use other cues, such as the wings (if they’re representative of anything) to identify other potential insects.

And as a native Portuguese speaker that also speaks French, yes, yugipedia is wrong. It has zero credibility on anything because it’s a site where anyone can edit anything in, and if you want to dedicate yourself to researching the conceptual origins of stuff you should at least be putting the very basic effort into double checking what you see around.

Pablod you are literally Bruno Santo. You type in the exact same way as him and when i’ve argued with him on reddit, he’s also defaulted to the “please don’t be rude” angle, followed on by not taking accountability for being wrong and deflecting with someone else or something else to blame instead. How can you type something like this, not even fact check it and then say “its Yugipedia’s fault”. ExLight wasn’t being rude, he was correcting you.

Well, that explains why Delirium Embrace is Limit 2 now.

However, Delirium has too many Main Deck Monsters (it needs more Fusion Monsters or better Backrow options if it wants to stand out more)

Although, I won’t say no if this Monster can recycle Delirium Embrace (in a less RNG way), Quixotic Love or Invitation to a Delirious Dream (these last two are part of the Delirium Archetype without actually being part of it)

“new ‘card’ artwork” reveal sounds kinda ambiguous , can also imply to be an alternate-art for those who dont know the latter term

How can this be taken any other way? Its a new card artwork. It wouldn’t be an alternate art because there’s a name attached that is very clearly not already a pre-existing card.

hmm… if We’re going off of the fact that Delirium Monsters are usually based on Moths, and the tea theme this monster has going for it, I’d say it’d likely be the “Tea Geometrid Moth” [Ectropis Obliqua], a white moth that is one of the most destructive pests for tea growers.

If we go off the fact that this bug girl has Elytra, and is thus likely a beetle, I’d be more inclined to believe she’s based on the Cyphochilus Beetles. Which, while very much white, aren’t associated with tea.

Also, according to google translate: “Teega” is Estonian for “With Tea”
