Sigh. Nothing about new Dark Magician support. Nothing new, cool, or interesting here. Next. Let us know when DM gets more monster support to make him a great deck that viable. Konami you need to do better with rushing out new DM support! Do better!

To be honest, this reveal box is mid. A true yawn fest. Like top comment said, nobody cares Konami. Just bring us the top dollar Dark Magician support. Thats what really brought a lot of players back to this game WAS BECAUSE OF DARK MAGICIAN. NO OTHER ARCHETYPE WAS WORTH COMING BACK TO IN TCG. And nobody cares about meta sheeps in OCG, they been trash. They’ll accept anything Konami does. Braindead OCG players are morons.

Dont know if these four accounts the same or a troll or not but I also agree that Dark Magician still need way more support in TCG. I seen someone say the same thing on Mkhol40s channel, saying Konami should have printed atleast Dark Magician structures already with more brand new support. DM needs his own box dedicated to only him with at least a wave of 50 NEW Dark Magician support cards. Also the fact Dragoon and DM made players come back to YuGiOh shows you how bad TCG is and how Konami does not fix the problems of it.
And this box was indeed not interesting. I did not see the YuGiOh community going crazy over the box release. Even Battle of Chaos made a better reception than Maze of Memories. Its not worth getting.
And the battle of chaos was better because? Why? DARK MAGICIAN. Konami does need to know how to market business sense. Its been a dry year for TCG. They will release Dark Magician accessories nobody wants or ask for but will not release new cards to help it be stronger against meta/rogue decks? Funny.

Dark Magician and Blue Eyes support is what makes me want to quit Yu-gi-Oh because I am so tired seeing the same monster for so many years doing mostly nothing. What they are doing with some of the old decks and archetypes is great but they need to support some types of monsters who did not get any good support for years like Pyro, Sea serpents.

I disagree with the last 5 trolls in the bottom comments. I think Dark Magician should get way more support every month because a lot of you players would be hypocrites. Where was you players criticizing HEROs when they got over 200 cards that can compete AND VIABLE, while DM has NONE THAT ARE REALLY VIABLE. Troll statements are unfair due to the fact that DM has not been a rogue performing deck at least. DM best cards are at least 10-15 cards in total. Compare that to what HERO GETS EVERY DAMN YEAR. THE GX ERA SUCKS.

For the love of god stop supporting dark magician/blue eyes/hero decks. They are boring and waste space for new and interesting cards
I’m not very surprised by Rodney’s anxiety, there’s quite a lot of people who think this game is basically Yugi and Co. and anything else is nothing more than awful spin-offs.
But Rodney, you really need to accept it actually isn’t. We are no longer in the Duel Monsters era, and many players are awaiting support, even if it’s just a single card, for ages. E.g. people who like strategies like Toons, Gemini or Spirit monsters, have to wait for at least 6 or 7 years just to get a few cards, which are often outdated for the current stage of the game. On the other hand, Dark Magician gets things every year, which may not make it tier 1, but are at least decent and form a cohesive deck. Maybe you’re expecting something on the level of True King of All Calamities, but that wouldn’t make the deck funnier to play with or against.
So please, take a moment and consider this.

I’m impressed by the amount of time it took for Gate Guardian to get support, if it means anything. I’m looking forward to building the deck too.
Might be fun using Gate Guardian again after all these years, especially when I’d imagine it can beat a few Dark Magician decks.
I really like the Signal Counter stuff that’s been trickling out to recreate Speed World in the TCG; same with the Performapal support trying to recreate Action Cards. While a long ways from competetive at any level, it’s a lot of fun. 🙂
Kahyoreigetsu seems like it’ll give a generic searcher for a lot of decks that don’t have it, which is nice. And the new BLS ritual gives me motivation to try using the Beginning/Evening knight stuff to make a BLS turbo deck again. Overlay Network seems fun, Utopia Rising gives a solid comeback enabler, though I guarantee it’s going to be mostly used to make Utopic Future variants. I don’t think this set will be meta impactful, but will DEFINETLY give a bunch of bad and/or rogue decks new tools to experiment with. What a fun set. 🙂
With the new fusion monsters the gate guardian archetype might finally see play. Also everyone (Rodney Doogle/Malcolm/Raf/Truth Teller) should shut up about no new DM support, go whine to your fulllength DMG pillow about it. Magical Hero gave you enough scum.

Just so you know, We can literally see when you’re posting on other accounts, Rodney. Impersonating well known figures and websites is well across the line and if you continue to spam our articles with your Dark Magician nonsense I will have to ban you from the comments section entirely.
Dark Magician will always get new support. It’s never not going to benefit from something or another. Look at the categories it’s mainly focused in: spellcaster, dark, level 7, specific atk stats etc.
It’s not as if it’s not getting support, direct or indirect. It’s not even like it’s particularly suffering considering in the TCG Dragoon is still unlimited, and it has a fair number of powerful cards at its disposal.
Sure I can make a point about how there’s other decks and themes that are suffering from no support or lack of even indirect support, but since Yusei’s cards are getting support in Duelist Nexus, it’s a matter of time before its Dark Magician’s turn as well and no matter what happens, Rodney Doogle won’t be happy because it won’t be enough for him.
I pray Dark Magician actually gets the next set after Duelist Nexus so we can live in peace and not hear from him again.
My son just cant get over the old days just as some still ride on DM, HERO, Blue eyes decks hoping their childhood decks can stay in the competitive scene. He will have to learn the hard way I suppose.
