I honestly just want a pack that just gives a ton of archtypes 1 or 2 support cards like they did with infernity giving us creepy little punk
I’d like to see something like that. Just focus on improving older ones without also introducing 3 or so new archetypes at the same time.
The closest thing I think we have to a pack that didn’t introduce new archetypes and instead gave older ones legacy support was…
Duel Overload. The one that gave us Halqifibrax, Verte, Union Carrier, and a bunch of other in-archetype Link monsters. It also reprinted staple cards like Cyber Dragon Infinity, and random cards like Secret Six Samurai Fuma and Madolche Magilene.
So something like Duel Overload, minus the part where a chunk of the cards snapped the game in half over their heads.
The name change is weird, but not that bad. Changing “Duelist” to “Duelist’s” is more akin to when the TCG changed “Infinite Forbidden” to “The Infinite Forbidden” rather than the extreme name changes during the Arc V era like changing “The Secret of Evolution” to “Secrets of Eternity” or changing “Invasion of Venom” to “Invasion: Vengeance”.
I’d really like new Mythical beast support. I’m a spellcounter veteran yugi player, spellcounters was very fun to play growing up but the issues where you either had no monsters and many spells or no spells and many monsters. Citadel of Endymion was the cornerstone of the deck and Tempest magician was an amazing ace. All six of the Mythical beasts behaved like the citadel, therefore no longer needed. And they generated spellcounters quickly. The problem is there wasn’t enough things to do with them. Back in the day, if you ran spellcounters, the more you generated, the more powerful you became. The mythical beasts effects are only once per turn so it didn’t matter if you had 16 counters or 200 counters, the gameplay was the same. However all six of them were all good and practical. I’d like an actual good tuner that holds spellcounters, all we have is Frequency Magician. And link monsters that don’t generate but inherit spellcounters by using monsters holding them as link materials.
I’m honestly thinking they’re stalling at this point. Looking at the upcoming English release of Maze of the Master, and the Japanese release of Justice Hunters, you’d think they’d be slowly releasing more of those sets as we got closer, but instead they feel like they are throwing whatever they can at us so they don’t have to get at those two sets specifically.
Maze of the Master is only two weeks away, It would be nice if we got something other than what we can gleam off of the pack art, even if it only turns out to be confirmations.
The TCG always does its reveals 2 weeks away and both do set announcements 4 months prior. This is nothing unusual.
They haven’t even announced the spring subscription promos yet.
Can’t wait for access to Jormangander and wurm nine weeks from today
More Numbers to add to the collection.
Tomorrow March. Maze of the master the 12th. So soon reveals for odin stuff should be soon.
Seeing it’s the 4th of July reminds me it’s already been several years since the passing of sensei Takahashi. He will forever be missed.
Tomorrow March. Maze of the master the 12th. So soon reveals for odin stuff should be soon. Hopefully tomorrow
But they still haven’t even brought the Tachyon support to America yet! Just what are they thinking in regards to planning
Alchemy Beasts and New Order / Etheric when?
