I am an ignorant fool. What is the rationale behind reprinting a card banned in the TCG (Elder Entity Borden)?
It might have been a highly requested card during the vote-a-thon for Stampede, alternatively, Konami could be intending to revisit the theme in the near future.
Homie’s really asking why the best cards from older formats are being reprinted in the nostalgia collection.

Whether or not it’s the best card is irrelevant, my question was why it was there as even a bad card you can use is more useful than a good card you can’t.
Fortunately NeoArkadia provided some insight on this so you’ll have to try harder to take shots at someone else
To keep it available for old formats. Same reason why Trap Dustshoot, Metamorphosis, Royal Oppression, and Maxx C are in this set. Before sanctioned Time Wizard events, Forbidden cards typically did not get reprinted at all and this contributed to some of them going a decade or more without a reprint. Many didn’t even have PCST because they hadn’t been printed on so long. It also bears mentioning that much of the Nostalgia Pool was chosen via player poll back in November.
It’s gonna take more than Spellbooks of Secrets to appease me: the only prophecy player who gives a damn about them anymore!
BUT also finally Spellbook of Secrets as a secret Rare!? FINALLY!! Sheesh!!
Spellbook of Secrets is in the Nostalgic Pool for Quarter Century Stampede, so it will only be in Platinum Secret Rare and Quarter Century Secret Rare
