I mean, no one is really hyped about this anyways seeing as Speed Duel is coming to an end. Due to lack of interest. And I kno… some overly, compulsive liars are going to say they play Speed Duels but sell the lie to your vendors.

They got too much stuff coming out constantly the quarter century Bonanza coming out at the beginning of the month they gotta let regular players that aren’t rich catch up. You also got the idiots trying to run up the price cuz they want that stupid Max c card they ruin it for everyone else I just want it for the nostalgia

I implore you to try accepting that some people have interests that you don’t have.

We know that it’s going on a hiatus after this.
It was never announced being the final product. Speed Duels is hardly doing well, but it’s not abandoned yet nor declared to be the case.

right the “hiatus” from which it will “definitely” return from.
its amazing the faith people will have in a company that only ever burns bridges. Like this is Konami of America. these is the same company jacking rarities and print counts so every deck costs a 4 digit number.
@Irene but they said they were going to cancel it. I don’t know why they don’t just take the hint and just remove it. Speed duels should only be in duel links.
Irene on
That is not what they said. What they said is that they were temporarily suspending any new product while figuring out a direction of where to go.
At no point was it announced cancelled. It could still be, sure, but a completely different thing was said.

ANNOUNCEMENT: With the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Speed Duel: Battle City Finals, the initial Speed Duel saga we started a few years ago will be concluding.
While we are including new content (like Noah, Duke, and Tristan), the Speed Duel releases are starting to re-tread a lot of familiar ground, so the product line will be pausing for a rest.
As always, Speed Duel cards are legal for TCG play and there will be continued OP support for Speed Duel so that Duelists can continue to play the format.
(This is people taking it as something entirely different than what it really is. It’s fine people aren’t a fan of it or want to see it die and all, but don’t spread misinformation about the situation. It’s blatantly made clear it’s on a hiatus after this product. No more, no less).

The best part will be when the next Speed Duel product gets announced. Especially since we know they are continuing it and all.
Figuring out a good direction is never easy. Especially with a side product that doesn’t fully stand on its own(unlike Rush Duels).
I thought they stopped with speed duel. Why is this being announced and still a thing?
If you want to play speed duels go on duel links. Bringing it irl was never going to work. Just give it up Konami of America.

They didn’t stop. They’re putting it on a hiatus. This false information tends to get spread around a lot, but yes, it was never cancelled or declared ending. It’s the specific Saga of the Classic Series they declared done(which isn’t clear on what they mean, though. Are we seeing Synchros coming soon or something?? The only Saga so far is Fusions, since we covered some of GX too).
Duel Links is not interesting at all for those who want to play in real life. Speed Duels did something that regular Konami’s TCG branch didn’t do; release OCG imports.
In addition, the prices were never bad unlike regular TCG. It’s a budget game by far. The worst thing you can get is sometimes you’re unlucky in pulling a card. But that happens everywhere to everyone. And they fixed that with the Speed Duel Pre-Made Decks. Now price gauging is never suffered from. Which makes it hilarious that the only product type that’s actually fair is complained about too. Oh, the irony.

It’s kind of weird that this product is coming out right BEFORE Odion gets new cards for his deck as he is the last duelist to make it on the blimp to get new cards for their deck.

It was originally going to be November 22nd, but that doesn’t say much. Maze of the Masters is still a couple of months away anyway, so. It wouldn’t have much mattered with or without the delay.
