That allot of cards.
What are you saying? We have a glimpse of a Ritual Monster (pointing to the BLS variant that appears in Sunset Rebirth’s Alt Art)
That’s not BLS? That’s the other envoy
This is the first major stream they had since the anime ended, and they have 3 upcoming products.
No uts, sad
Funny, more cards to dm sd, BUT CONTINUE WITHOUT OTHER RITUALS
Ritual deck, but no have ritual XD
UTS needs a different pack, hopefully the 5 theme set could have them, as Zera teases a Ritual.
What are you saying? We have a glimpse of a Ritual Monster (pointing to the BLS variant that appears in Sunset Rebirth’s Alt Art)
calling it now. Rush will get a Vanilla Ritual just simply titled “Chaos Emperor Dragon”
So, basically:
– Rush’s Cyber Dragon receives an original Fusion Monster that incentivizes the use of its Fusion Spell Card.
– Rush’s Harpie continues to receive things for the Extra Deck (poor Extra Deck, it’s bloated now)
– Luke’s Dragons receive related cards that support their old cards.
– Abysskite continues to reinvent itself: now with a Level 10 Boss Monster to mimic the Deck’s Maximum Monster (and Abysskite Party receives an Alternate Art that does make it look like a Party)
– BLS cameo in a Trap Card previously related to Skysavior.
– Shadow Flower receives more pieces to speed up the GY and its range of Fusion Monsters, but they don’t solve the Deck’s problem: it relies on Fusion and is very bad at Fusion Summoning.
BLS? The monster in the art is Chaos Emperor Dragon.
oh it is! i checked and yes, it looks like Chaos Emperor Dragon! i personally thought it was a original chaos monster created for rush duel, i wonder how he would fit in rush
There are plenty of MD monsters on Rush artwork that aren’t in the game. CED is not coming to Rush Duel. This alt is here as a chase card for collectors.
Dat Chaos Emperor Dragon jumpscare tho.
Also Rush Harpie art needs to chill (no it doesn’t).
Chimeratech Crush Dragon is designed to protect your monsters from Cyber Rush Fusion’s board wipe, and incentivizes using Rush Fusion to summon it since it can potentially reach up to 3000 ATK if you use the max 5 LIGHT Machines. Crush is also yet another Jointech Joint target.
Harpie Lady 1 & 2 & 3 is designed around Hysteric Party, who can summon Harpie Lady (and the monsters treated as her in the GY) in addition to Feather Duster and 2 & 3, who can treat themselves as Harpie Lady on the field.
Ulti-Ange references the series of events first depicted in Ultimail, where Ange finds broken armor on the seabed, and then Violate Halo, where she refurbishes the armor. Now she is wearing the armor itself. Ulti-Ange is recovered by the original Ange, and can immediately be Tributed to go into her. I suspect the other two members of the trio will get their own upgrades soon, tied to their respective Level 10’s stat line (this also requires Protection to have a Spell retrain).
Wicked Dragon of Darkness explains the Dragon Knight of Darkness reprint in the tournament pack, but is also designed around Eternity Aether Dragon, who would otherwise be unrecoverable. Dragon Knight is only useful as material for Umbralancer F, telling me he might get new support in the future.
Shadowbringer Dragon revives Wicked Dragon, giving another way to recover Dragon Knight or Eternity Aether. But it also shockingly revives Nightbringer Dragon, who is otherwise a niche card. DARK Dragon with 1100 ATK/500 DEF isn’t on any other monster but Wicked and Shadowbringer, telling me we will slowly get additional ones in the future, and maybe new support for Nightbringer.
Mind Control was likely chosen as the Legend Spell in reference to Brain Control in the manga being used to set up Yugi’s MoBC. But since Brain Control was significantly nerfed with its errata, making it almost useless now, Mind Control was printed instead.
The original Etraynze pitches a Plant from hand to revive another copy from the GY, returning it to the bottom of the Deck during the End Phase. Her Fusion, Meika Etraynze, uses 2 Etraynzes to Special Summon a Level 8 or lower Plant from hand or GY. Neither has a HOPT. A year ago, Restricter (Level 4, treated as Etraynze in GY) joined, revivable by Etraynze. She places a GY Plant on the bottom of your Deck to copy another GY Plant’s name, and then resets a GY Fusion to the Spell/Trap Zone (no HOPT). She’s mainly used to become Etraynze for Meika or Etraynzeyes (mills top card, reduces 2 monsters’s ATK to 0), or Gatling/Clemantis for their strong Fusions, enabling multiple Fusions per turn.
This new Etraynze variant can also be revived by the original. She doesn’t reset Fusion or change her name to any Plant, but she mills 3, setting up your GY for the litany of Shadow Flower cards that need Plants in the GY. Her second effect recovers Lindo or the new vanilla for Fusion or Etraynze’s revival, but indirectly facilitates Gatling’s effect (pitching 2 Plant vanillas) and several archetypal cards, which require you to pitch or place cards in your hand on the bottom of the Deck.
Himawari, a vanilla, supports the new Meika as Fusion material, recoverable by the new Etraynze/Gekka/Planting Pixie, revivable via various means, or used in the GY for Restricter’s name change and Sewing’s requirement.
The new Meika Etraynze boosts all monsters’ ATK by 500 and grants destruction immunity, offsetting Shadow Flower’s low ATK and mediocre protection. She’s a prime revival target for the original Meika.
Rinkage’s Rincarnation is a beatstick trading backrow for temporary ATK, slightly enhanced by the original Meika/Return and boosted by the new Meika. Stance already covers Battle Phase interruption.
True Duplication, now nerfed, requires a Level 7 EARTH Plant to revive another (it used to be Plant Effect monsters only), like Etraynze or Gatling. It ties into the new Etraynze’s hand recursion, placing the 2 vanillas you recover with her on the bottom of the Deck.
The decision to tie Aether Eternity Dragon in with a bunch of random Luke cards is very interesting.
Prior to Luke focusing on the Strike Dragons specifically, his Deck was high Level Dragon beatdown. So why wouldn’t he support Eternity Aether?
Why does Konami love Harpies in Rush Duel so much but not in OCG/TCG Q_Q
Technically, the same can be said for Elemental HERO: it receives constant support in Rush Duels and the OCG/TCG has focused mostly on Neos.
