But we still needed a Sound Rush 5 for ARC-V and VRAINS!

I suspect it has to do with the TV Anime “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Series 25th Duelist Live Kingdom.
Supposedly, they were going to perform and sing the Opening and Ending songs of the eight Yu-Gi-Oh songs that have been released so far.
Therefore, it would make no sense to have a Final Sound Rush if it is not going to have the last Opening/Ending songs (not to mention that the songs related to Arc 11 are still to be released and they will surely be released once the Arc is over)
Rush is still ending soon due to the leaked episode count and the current ending song.
If they are withholding the anime announcement it is either because they don’t have one or they are waiting for a better time to show it.
Call me crazy but I’m starting to think they’ll be pulling an Arc-V with whatever the next anime is and having older characters return with new decks.
The whole setup of “Somewhere similar to here” and all the GX pushing in Rush (Red-eyes pluto, the SDs, more HERO cards) is giving me that idea. I’m fully aware I could also be pulling this out of thin air but it’d be fun to have older characters return and use the Rush versions of their archetypes.

I am late and have no idea if anyone I’ll respond but did they announce they will discontinue the weekly Yugioh Anime after the final Go Rush season?

It’s no longer final, meaning more GR
But GX remaster is taking GR’s airing slot once it starts airing…….Yugioh anime is in a really weird situation right now
Sound Duels always go from 1-4, not 1-Final. Go Rush is still ending soon.
it was already confirmed before this that it was ending… it was legit said at jump festa
So Winter 2025 is for Go Rush’s final arc while the rest of 2025 starting from April will be the GX Remaster which means YGO 9 would be in 2026.
Because the Rush Duel animes are crap from the art styles down to the story telling it’s a disaster.
None of the sound duels have ever been called final, so from that perspective changing it to 4 makes a lot more sense.
