(1) When an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position, and if you do, change the attack target to it and perform damage calculation.
(2) You can target 1 Plant monster you control, except “Giant Kra-Corn”; its ATK and this card’s become their total original ATK.
Splitting Planarian

You can only use the effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 2 Level 3 Insect monsters with the same name from your Deck, but their effects are negated, also banish them during the End Phase.

Hunder extender, but you gotta use at least Ma or Pa. Ah well, much nicer than the 4 the manga needed.

I thought the issue with insects is they don’t really end on a good enough board, not that they can’t extend

These cards are a bit better than the last subscription promos we got.
Now to guess what the Spring Zexal promos will be. Hopefully they won’t wait till two weeks before release to reveal them again.
I know it’s easier to activate now, but I wish Otonari’s effect was the same as in the manga. A monster that summons itself from the deck would be interesting.
That’s what the Fortune ladies do so it wouldn’t have been unique.

Yea, I think the second comment meant Familiar Possessed instead of Fortune Ladies. The manga effect would be more fun but thunder-type monsters are forever cursed to always have effects that activate in the hand.

I still wondering why Konami don’t give us thunder support with 1600 ATK again? The latest that I can remember is thunder seahorse. Nevertheless, it’s still a support.
I am disturbed to learn Nanbazu 48 was summoned with tapeworms. The zexal manga sure liked to MURDER number hunters and sometimes EAT them.
Hopefully, ONE DAY we get a genuine plant extender.
Easiest way to balance Splitting Planarian is restricting what you can summon with the monsters you special summon down to like, just xyz insect monsters or something. Needing Cicada King to combo off would still be fun but kind of a tempo killer lol
