It’s interesting to think that Sevens Road now has three different Strategies.
– The classic Sevens Wonder Fusion with Sevens Road Magician and his friends (Dragias)
– The secondary Group of Sevens Road Witch and her cats (Straynge Cat)
– The current one with several Yuga’s Retrains centered around Master of the Sevens Road with a focus on helping Sevens Road Witch.
Interestingly, many of Yuga’s Retrains are similar to Magical Swordsman of Roadstar: they take the Name of the original Monster to be used as Fusion Materials (in fact, you can use Roadstar Gladimagia in this Deck variant)
Nicesupport but they forget add Magical Knight to the mix so i think Sevens Wonder Fusionngonna still be the main target for the deck because not restricted you to attack with only dark casters
They didn’t forget Magical Knight; they are deliberately moving Yuga’s Fusion Deck away from Sevens Wonder Fusion and into Spellcaster Fusion territory with this support.
Perhaps the funniest thing is that this revealed support excludes Magician of Dark Sevens: meaning that if you want to use this Fusion Monster, you must use Wonder Fusion or hope that Otes’ Darkness receives dedicated support for its strategy.
Spell Archer’s and Dark Sorcerer’s Road Apostle glowups are both magnificent! I love this support just for that alone. (Makes me wonder if we’ll get a Fusion for Magical Beast Wolfram? That’s the only OG Yuga Monster who’s missing a Fusion form, I think.)
Magical Beast Wolfang has a Retrain that’s tied to another Strategy: Road Servant Flare.
On the other hand, Ansler the Magical Swordsman didn’t receive a Retrain here (and was left out despite being one of Yuga’s first Normal Monsters)
Magic Punisher is Sevens Road Witch’s magical chakram which she uses to attack in the Rush anime, and true to form its requirement is nearly identical to her own and it revives either Witch, or Master (whose chakrams are based on this card). Punisher being Level 3 does discourage you from looping it with Enchanter.
Dispell Archer makes it a bit easier to use Fusion Torna’s effect and sets up your GY for Slinger, but you still need a vanilla Spellcaster in the GY which is only ever going to be the original DM.
Dark Sorcerer is a counterpart of Light Sorcerer of Sanctity and also recovers Magical Sevens Fusion, making it easier to go into consecutive Fusions, especially Ultima Witch without going to Charm Witch first.
Accel Wonder Dark can be summoned with Magical Retribution and is designed to more easily go into Master, Majesty, Ultima Witch, or the new Fusions in here with the same restriction as Magical Sevens Fusion.
Slinger serves as a Wonder Fusion for Master specifically, making it easier to go into Majesty with the millers. Magus gives modest ATK, and limited protection from bounce or spin on the opponent’s turn only. They can also be revived with Torna.
Majesty is somewhat difficult to summon even with the new support, and needing Master in the GY for its optional spin effect with discourages you to summon it with Wonder Fusion.
Magical Sevens Fusion has 7 applicable targets now, made a bit easier with not needing Witch or Magician to hit the field and incentivizing multiple Fusion loops with Sorcerer.
