Like really boring in terms of cards and basically everything else.
It looked pretty normal, like previous streams. Yeah, everyone with their tastes.
Ultimate Dragon of Pride and Soul
The DARK is clearly a DM reference with everything else coming from Dragon of Pride and Soul and BEUD, but I hope we get a more Unity and Bonds aligned boss monster for this anniversary series too.
Nevermind, I forgot the Dragon is DARK and the Spellcaster was LIGHT.
Still hoping for a LIGHT Xyz Monster in the next pack though.
And you need 3 2,500 atk/def monster to summon him, wayyy costlier than 5 headed dragon or his link counterpart, 5 headed link dragon, who needs only 6 cards. The latter is of course a link 5 monster.
This dragon would used as many as 9 cards. The aforementioned dragons, only needs 6 to get them out. And they are one of the costlier monsters in the game already.
Even Topologic bomber dragon only need minimum 4 cards to get him out. Funny Komoney prelimit him, at 1, when he was released at Duel Links, despite his costly summoning requirement, 3+ effect monsters, which you need minimum 4 monsters to get him out.
And mostly pendulum decks will benefit his boardwipe effects. Basically Black Rose Dragon, but with higher atk (3k attack lol) and costlier summoning requirements, he is a link 4 for a reason.
The surprising part is that we didn’t get 3 alt arts of Dragon of Pride and Soul

Comically, making this fella a Fusion Monster’s managed to make him infinitely better than the other 25th anniversary fellas (Dragon of Pride and Soul, Magicians of Bonds and Unity), and why is rather simple.
Yes, sure, two-thirds of the effect are mostly junk (the only times they’re gonna be realistically live are either Tear or VS Tear), but let’s not let that detract from how this is a 4500/4500 beatstick that has solid protection and some deceptively common Fusion Materials for Super Poly purposes — not the aforementioned ones, but Fleurdelis, Iris Swordsoul, Despian Quaeritis, Granguignol, and Luluwalilith — and plenty of occasion to bring our own for others (e.g., Protostar Dragon fits AND plays well with getting Dragon’s Mirror’d, Generaid has Vala, Rescue-ACE has Fire Engine). Plus it starts in the Extra Deck, so it won’t brick on us.
I DO wish this was more in line with Chronicle Magician and cared about 2500 ATK OR DEF rather than 2500 ATK AND DEF, but as things stand it does still have enough potential materials that it’s not a complete wash.
And ironically most of those monsters with 2,500 atk and def are fusions… So, he is practically useless right now.
