Quick-Play Spell Card
You can only use the (2)nd effect of this card’s name once per turn. If there are no cards in the Field Zone, you can only activate this card during the Main Phase.
(1) Fusion Summon 1 DARK Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand and/or field as material.
(2) During your Main Phase, if there is a card in the Field Zone: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 “Earthbound” monster from your hand or GY, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Fusion and Synchro Monsters.
Note: You cannot Special Summon “Earthbound Spirit” with this card, or should not be able to, as it is not a ‘Jibaku’ card in Japanese.

This was, unexpected. A fusion spell? They already just got a new synchro+fusion spell. How strange.
This is another one of Sergey’s cards, the person who used the Harmonic Synchro Fusion and the Earthbounds in ARC-V.
Seems they’re continuing to released some of the Anime cards in Core Boosters, which they starter doing in earnest with Dark Corridor in Duelist Nexus.
Earthbound Fusion is a bit shocking since it has been months since Age of Overlord and Animation Chronicle 2023.
Although you can only Fusion Summon DARK monsters with its effect now, Earthbound Fusion still got buffed from the anime. You no longer need to have a card in the Field Zone to activate it (though if you can only fuse during the Main Phase if there is no Field Spell card out), and you can use hand monsters as material.
The second effect is far more interesting as it helps Earthbound Decks extend more.
Am I to expect the next core set to have Earthbound Rescue? I wouldn’t mind having this trend for an Animation Chronicle introduced theme each year. Would have been nice for G Golems last year.
Maybe they’ll do Lightning for 2024.
