Meh no Volcanic or Supeme King card from the anime. This year’s is a bust.
Plus even on the manga side no Turn Jump.
Whatever anime cards we could have gotten in here would have been placed before the manga cards of that category and same series.
Golden Rule, a GX anime Spell, was placed before all of the GX manga Spells but after the GX manga Monsters.
The Seventh Emperor Traps were listed after the ZEXAL manga Spells but before the ZEXAL manga Traps.
As Flame Crime was after Ebon Sun, we didn’t have room for GX Traps at all (so no Mine). As Arbitration was after Reef, we didn’t have room for an ARC-V anime Trap (none of Zarc’s Traps). If we got Turn Jump, it would have been placed before Toy Box as it was from the original DM manga and not R, and Turn Silence already does what Jump was intended to do so it’s redundant.
Sky Striker is not to blame. Last year’s pack had them too and they tie back to the OCG Stories manga, and we needed the Roze alt artwork anyway to go alongside Raye’s.

Year of FIRE and they said NO lets not release Greiger’s two FIRE fusions. Lets release Synchro Creed and Gathering Lights instead.
Not a single Volcanic card either. Crystal Beast at least got one last year.
R.I.P anime cards. Hoping for Premium Pack 2nd wave.
I would say at least we got Animation Chronicle but considering how bad this year’s was I now have low expectations.

Very MEH year
Next year’s focus will mainly be on LIGHT(and Fairy) with a side of Sea-serpent (Atlantean SD R) Aqua(Tistina tie-in) and maybe Pyro(Tie-in to whatever the new Pyro TCG theme is). The Electrode Beasts are just prelim. I can see Lightning’s deck coming out maybe. And next year’s PP having Otanari Thunder. I could see GX section of PP having Asuka and Reggie cards. Absolute Zero Barrier and Divine Sanctuary at least.
