Weekend updates.
“If cards cannot be returned to the Extra Deck, will the effect of Majestic Star Dragon that returns itself to the Extra Deck activate?”
Q: If the Continuous Effect of G.B. Hunter is applying, will the effects of Majestic Star Dragon and Majestic Red Dragon activate during the End Phase?
A: Their effects will activate. However, if the effect of G.B. Hunter is applying when the effect resolves, Majestic Star Dragon and Majestic Red Dragon will not be able to return to the Extra Deck, so they remain on the field and the targeted monster is not Special Summoned from the Graveyard.
The same is true if Majestic Star Dragon is face-up in the Monster Zone and the effect of Arrive in Light is applying.
“What happens if the effects of Therion “King” Regulus equipped with a Monster Card by its own effect are negated?”
Q: My Therion “King” Regulus equipped with Therion “Lily” Borea by its own effect is face-up in my Monster Zone. In this situation, if the effects of Therion “King” Regulus are negated by a card such as Skill Drain, what happens?
A: If the effects of Therion “King” Regulus are negated by the effect of Skill Drain, it can no longer be equipped with a monster by its own effect. As a result, Therion “Lily” Borea is destroyed and the effects gained by Therion “King” Regulus will be lost.
(For effects of monsters that equip cards other than Equip Spell Cards to themselves, if that monster can only equip cards to itself by its effect, it can no longer remain equipped if its effects are negated and the card that became equipped to it is destroyed.)
This also applies to the following monsters that have effects of equipping cards other than Equip Spell Cards to themselves:
– Borreload Savage Dragon
– D/D/D Wave Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok
– Destiny HERO – Plasma
– Dragunity Arma Leyvaten
– Dragunity Arma Mystletainn
– Dragunity Dux
– Dragunity Knight – Barcha
– Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana
– Dragunity Legionnaire
– Dragunity Senatus
– Gizmek Kaku, the Supreme Shining Sky Stag
– Millennium-Eyes Restrict
– Number 6: Chronomaly Atlandis
– Relinquished
– Relinquished Anima
– Silent Wolf Calupo
– The Grand Jupiter
– Therion “Bull” Ain
– Therion “Duke” Yul
– Therion “Empress” Alasia
– Therion “Reaper” Fum
– Therion Irregular
– Thousand-Eyes Restrict

“When resolving the Chain Link made by activating On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL!, if I control any other cards, can I add a “Synchron” monster to my hand?”
Q: I activate On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL! while I control no cards, and as Chain Link 2, my opponent activates the effect of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Furthermore, as Chain Link 3, I activate Called by the Grave targeting an Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring in my opponent’s Graveyard. When resolving the effect of Called by the Grave at Chain Link 3, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is banished and its effect at Chain Link 2 is not applied. In that case, when resolving the effect of On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL! at Chain Link 1, can I add a “Synchron” monster from my Deck to my hand?
A: No, you cannot. When resolving the Chain Link made by activating On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL!, check whether or not you control any other cards, and if not you can apply the effect that adds a “Synchron” monster from your Deck to your hand.
In the above scenario, Called by the Grave is still present on the field when resolving On Your Mark, Get Set, DUEL!. (Normal Spells, Quick-Play Spells, Normal Traps, and Counter Traps that have been activated remain on the field until the entire Chain finishes resolving, and are sent to the Graveyard afterward.) Therefore, the condition to apply the effect while controlling no other cards has not been met.
“If Floowandereeze & Robina is banished by the effect of Cynet Conflict, is the effect that prevents the opponent from activating card effects with the same name as the banished card until the end of the next turn applied?”
Q: Due to the effect of Cynet Conflict that was chained to the first effect of Floowandereeze & Robina, the activation of the effect of Floowandereeze & Robina is negated and it is banished. In this case, is the effect of Cynet Conflict that prevents the opponent from activating card effects with the same name as the banished card until the end of the next turn applied?
A: It still applies. Until the end of the next turn, your opponent cannot activate any effects of Floowandereeze & Robina. (Floowandereeze & Robina is treated as being banished by the effect of Cynet Conflict.)
“What happens if I activate the second effect of Altergeist Kunquery targeting an Expurrely Noir with 5 Xyz Materials?”
Q: My opponent controls an Expurrely Noir with 5 Xyz Materials. If I activate the second effect of Altergeist Kunquery targeting that Expurrely Noir, will the effects of Expurrely Noir be negated?
A: When the second effect of Altergeist Kunquery resolves, if the targeted Expurrely Noir has 5 or more Xyz Materials, it is unaffected by the effect of Altergeist Kunquery so its effects are not negated. Afterward, even if the number of Xyz Materials attached to Expurrely Noir becomes 4 or less, its effect will still not be negated.
“Can I activate the second effect of Tearlaments Rulkallos by chaining to the effect of a “Paleozoic” Trap Card activated in the Graveyard?”
Q: When my opponent activates the second effect of Paleozoic Dinomischus, can I chain the second effect of Tearlaments Rulkallos?
A: Yes, you can. (This effect includes Special Summoning a monster.) In that case, when the effect of Tearlaments Rulkallos resolves, the activation of the effect of Paleozoic Dinomischus is negated, but Paleozoic Dinomischus in the Graveyard cannot be destroyed. Since it was not successfully destroyed, the part of the effect that sends a “Tearlaments” card from your hand or face-up field to the Graveyard is not applied.
