More news on how to get the Megatoon figures in the West, and some details on the monsters themselves.
Previously we reported that the Megatoon Slifer the Sky Dragon figure would be available in Western territories for $60 USD. You can now also pre-order Dark Magician and Slifer the Sky Dragon together for $110 from Premium Bandai to receive the photo card below.
Megahoppy Plus also saw the next two figures on display – the coloured version of Obelisk the Tormentor, and the prototype for Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon presents the perfect opportunity to explain a facet of these figures: these are not supposed to be Toon monsters (despite my inferences previously), as the differences between this Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon should hopefully clarify. Rather, it’s simply a super-deformed and cartoony style being used in the Megatoon lineup.

No, these aren’t supposed to be Toon monsters (otherwise Blue-Eyes would look a lot different).
