Megahoppy Plus also saw the next two figures on display - the coloured version of Obelisk the Tormentor, and the prototype for Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon presents the perfect opportunity to explain a facet of these figures: these are not supposed to be Toon monsters (despite my inferences previously), as the differences between this Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon should hopefully clarify. Rather, it's simply a super-deformed and cartoony style being used in the Megatoon lineup.
