Ah yes, the Yubel Knock offs
I wouldn’t say that because Yubel has different forms that is annoying to try and get too. Also to be a knock off you have to have everything the same but different. They aren’t level 10, fiend monsters that needs to destory a monster to stay on the field. Also Yubel doesn’t need equip spells. Mikanko does. It was also an archtype before Yubel even became one.
Just remember Mikanko came out in Amazing Defenders in August 20, 2022. All while Yubel got her support in Phantom Nightmare in October 28, 2023. It took Yubel years before it was even relevant.
brother nightmare pain came out after mikanko
Yubel been reflecting damage since 2008, long before Mikanko. It being 0/0 monsters that bash into bigger ones is enough of a similarity, regardless of any other points.
And? Where are the yubel equip spellcards and xyzs? Thats all it takes to be a knockoff to you lol?
Yubel did a different strategy back then.
U had to WAIT for your opp to crash.
Mikanko was the first ARCHETYPE to related to reflecting battle damage (but Amazoness swords woman, was the first battle damage reflector)
Did it better than Yubel, Yubel needed Daddy Konami to give them broken support before anyone even looked at the deck for 15 years, like any GX anime deck.
A lot of things were more Yubel than Yubel and konami is to blame. Same set butchered Rainbow Dark Dragon and the game as a whole.
Na verdade yubel que imitou elas pelomenos no Master Duel porque o deck de mikanko veio primeiro 😁
@heated
Yubel is better. The fake will always be the fake
@U24
At least Mikanko didnt need Fiendsmith to win a Vcs.
Atleast Yubel isn’t locked out of pretty much every good card in it’s extra deck, heh.
@U24 Agreed
@TheOne
Yes, yes it is, regardless of every other point Yubel came first
No way you are being so stupid to claim mikanko is a rip off of yubel even after countless people proved you wrong
>Yubel been reflecting damage since 2008, long before Mikanko
Relinquished has been doing it since 2002. Sit down poseur.
@Blackbird
Incredibly rude
Lets not throw insults here directed towards me, I never personally insulted you.
Look, I have my opinion, you have yours, I find Mikanko just doing what Yubel has been since it came out, doesn’t matter who got what support later, I’m not changing mine, you don’t have to change yours, nor will I feel bad about the whole thing, I’m not insulting you like some have to me about this, said my peace, just is moving on.
The equip-heavy Main Deck/Ritual archetype that reflects battle damage and is capable of equipping your opponent’s monsters to your cards? Using my robust brain and expansive knowledge of the game, second only to the expansive expansion of my pristine brain matter, I have determined that these are Yubel knockoffs!
Double Edged Sword in the pack
Yeah, they know
Mikanko evolving into a Xyz archetype but the lock hurts
Zeus simps keep moving! Main Phase 2 was a mistake.
I’d rather have lock than it being splashable engine.
@Ehs
“You thought it was Big Gabonga, but it was ME, Uzuhime no Mikanko / Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko, ALL ALONG!!!”
Kino
So basically in terms of monster designs there Live Twins but in Kimonos.
Or I guess technically Tribal appeal.
Disgusting
Yes! Loli/ Waifu archtypes truly are.
Hating decks because they only have women is truly a thing.
@Seir, it corresponds to the most assumed player type to play the game which often results in the crrepy weeb variety…. i hope anyway, hating girls just because they’re girls would suggest a deeper disturbing issue that Venom should investigate if that is the case!
What’s so disgusting about these cards???
@venom they aren’t lolis
So… they teased MoBC aesthetic monster and made it a Fusion instead of Ritual.
Then they teased Mikanko support and gave them an Xyz instead of Ritual. Then it’s the normal spell and not the Xyz monster itself that lets you detach a material to improperly summon a Mikanko Ritual.
And why is Hu-Li the one to get an alt. art. …and why is she sitting in a puddle?
And we finally know who the purple haired girl is. Now we;re just missing the orange-haired girl in Ceremony.
It’s because DM has fusions and isn’t a ritual deck really. They have more fusion stuff so it was easier to go that route. While Mikanko doesn’t need another ritual when they struggle to even get into the ones they already have. So an xyz monster makes more sense. The normal spell also can be used in the same turn which gives them better combo ability. If you didn’t notice is that the Mikanko support can’t run the stuff to just rank 3 there ass off. They need Mikanko monsters to go into their own rank 3 and even then the cards lock them into that one card. While MoBC is used in different decks because of it be generic. If the Mikanko xyz was generic you would see even more decks using the rank 3 spam with either a small Mikanko package or a big Mikanko package with a small rank 3 engine.
I will say the normal spell is really good because you can use both effects in the same turn.
I would of thought the brown/orange haired girl would of been the Earth Attribute one, not the purple haired girl.
@Heated then there was no need to design the new Fusion monster to look like MoBC if it was going to have nothing to actually do with MoBC. This is like click bait in card form.
So with Mikanko struggling to make the Rituals they have, the answer is just making an Xyz that doesn’t does its own thing instead?
*that doesn’t help the Rituals and does its own thing instead?
Hu-Li gets an alt art because she was the one who won the competition and became the new vessel
Seir ,does this crap look like women to you? Does crap like argostar look like women to you?
If it had a mature design and not this childish crap, I would be drooling
The Dark Magician of Destruction being a fusion serves him better than being locked down to his inferior ritual line-up, unless they’re gonna go the route of Rush Duels and make Rituals extra deck monsters? Then rituals will always be inferior to fusions, unless they’re gonna make a way to break the ritual aspect of Dark Magician.
As for him being designed like Magician of Black Chaos? That means nothing, unless you look at Dark Magician’s other fusions like The Dark Magicians being composed of Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl BOTH main deck monsters designed LIKE their main deck counterparts meaning it as a fusion shouldn’t exists and instead be this Evil-Twins Li-La and Ki-Sikil which would severely hamper the deck unless it could be cheated out or something.
Quintet Magician being a Dark Magician like monster? Also a main deck monster because of his design.
Same with Master of Chaos, should also be a ritual because it uses BLS/Chaos monster as a fusion material.
Ebon Illusion Magician shouldn’t be an XYZ and so on….
It’s far worse than that. A fusion larping as one of THOSE links that larp as zoodiacs.
To those that prefer the Xyz route of Mikanko, Konami could’ve literally made a “Turning of the World” (Demise & Ruin Ritual support) for the deck where you get to grab their Rituals properly from Deck as a Quick Effect. While I like the design of the Xyz as well as the existence of this support wave in general, Konami aren’t perfect when it comes to card designing, so just keep that in mind duelists.
Really good.
Lock sucks tho
for the rest of the turn…… Doesn’t matter, all hail syuper polymerization!
New Xyz has a fire and water monster on the artwork.
Card’s attribute is Light.
Sure.
Still confused about double damage and Mikanko. It’s both players take damage or you have to take double battle damage to del double damage right? Sphreez otk is a legend even 15 years in the future 😭
Love alt art
This must be the worst support ever
It isn’t even close to the worst support ever. These cards also actually do something
The lock hurts them, certainly not amazing
My brother in Chrysler, you make one xyz and drop a kaiju on them and your opponent explodes.
A spell that makes a girl who fetchs DES and swings for game is “bad”? Like its not a bunch of negates or whatever but this just straight kills you
Extra deck lock when it has only one extra deck monster and its rituals have mediocre on field effects? Yeah until it gets more support these really suck balls.
So now all that is missing is the brown haired girl. Also, the fact that the only Mikanko, without the “taking no battle damage involving this card”, clause is an Illusion-type, is really funny to me.
Which brown haired girl are you referring to?
The one in The Great Mikanko Ceremony. Looks brown, could be orange, but that’s who I mean.
I’m gonna be honest here
I can’t say it’s even good support.
This support is bad because Mikanko’s win con is bad.
There is no possible reason for Mikanko to have an extra deck lock and their xyz not being generic.
There is no reason to even try and overlay into the XYZ when Hu Li is still their best card to end on. If the reason for the lock is to prevent Isolde from being used then it did a horrendous job at it.
They still don’t have a true starter nor have a solid going first board aside from Spiritwalk and Hu Li pass.
Good, the deck shouldn’t be good.
“Mikanko’s win con is bad”, Uzuhime single handedly ensures your wincon, literally just summoning Uzuhime and fetching DES says you die because she now double or triple attacks you for game
I thought this was a lore post at a first quick glance. Anyway, more eXceed = standing next to each other
These cards are excellent for the OTK build. I can’t wait to bounce Lava Golem/Kaijus again. The art is absolutely gorgeous, I can’t believe they made the Hu-Li alt art look as good as the original.
Illusion? Nah, should all be midriff-type.
The Support ist good in any way. Who knows why ppl say it is Not. But hey who knows.
I mean yes the Support makes the Deck Not Tier 0 again and this is good cus as i See the Powercreep gained trough konami makes Just 1 Thing: banhammer going insane.
But i think the Deck is now Not dying against Ash and then end Turn.
Bc of this i think with bit thinking and gain it can BE a good rouge Tier Deck again
Yubel replica support is fnally here!!
Ikr
uh extra deck lock menwhile the other deck can fiendsmith nuts by 2 body still legal
I’ll never get over the higher lv ritual functioning identically to the lover lv one ON THE FIELD. No perks, nothing. If you want a monster to solely be combo filler just make it a spell instead, jeez.
Let’s goooo. Thank you Konami for locking you into mikankos so everyone can’t splash this in cringe rank 3 decks
Mikanko? More like Rori Manko! 😀
Falseflag?
Dancing fire now with xyz
hmmm…
1) Summon Sanaki, equip her with a Mikanko equip, then use her second effect to summon another Mikanko monster
2) use Sanaki’s first effect to return the Mikanko equip equipped to her to the hand
3) use Sanaki and the special summoned Mikanko to Xyz summon Uzuhime
4) when Sanaki is detatched for the effect of Uzuhime, she can equip herself to another card like a lv3 Mikanko, or IP Gearfried
i play mikanko often, i played it when it was a combo deck with adventure token and libromancer. i played it when it was pure, i even played it with gen and ken when it was a acid golom deck. and this support is ass.
genuinly the worst part about it is simple. it doesn’t fix that it lacks 1 card combo’s it doesn’t fix that you have to run a billion bricks. and for people saying ohh you have a way to easily otk, it already had that it’s nothing special. locking you from summoning from the extra deck and the only viable target being bad is a bad decision if you made it a link 1 i could understand. because any normal would be a 1 card combo but no it’s a rank 3. a rank 3 that isn’t full combo mind you. how would i fix this deck?
give it just 1 single card from evil eye… “evil eyes unleashed” and all of the sudden this deck becomes functioning and good. no longer bound by bad design.
