The openings for Magnificent Maestros have been released, and along with this, all of Ultimate Tournament Pack 2 was updated and added to Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron. Many cards are still missing a reprint from the 2025 season that players have been anticipating for the last few months, but we still have plenty of sets in the next few months that can cover all the bases.

With the events that have happened in the past months, Magnificent Maestros, Magnificent Monsters, and UP02 were most likely all created and shipped without the idea of an emergency list in mind or being needed, as they were reprinting cards for the leading and current meta at the time from July to early October. This Market Watch will highlight some of the cards that were missed from the Magnificent Sets and Ultimate Tournament Pack 2 that players have been wanting to see over this past year but still have a chance to be reprinted into early 2027.

Major Archetype Cards Not Reprinted

With players testing around this new meta, some have ended up on Ars Magna Maliss, as it has additional protection thanks to Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord, and with a missed reprint on Maliss <P> March Hare, it was shocking to say the least. Being originally released in Alliance Insight, this centerpiece of the Maliss strategy can banish any Maliss card from your hand or GY to Special Summon itself, and when it becomes banished, you can pay 300 LP to add any Maliss monsters from your banishment to your hand. Along with this, while this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot use targeting effects on Maliss Link Monsters while this card is pointed by them. It is a well-rounded Secret Rare for consistency and pushes beyond other hand traps that are thrown at Maliss.

A major shock to the Spellcaster and Dark Magician community was Dark Magician Girl the Magician’s Apprentice, not appearing in either Magnificent set. Being both a key piece for the Shining Sarcophagus engine and a great way to access Dark Magician of Destruction, this Secret Rare is in need of a reprint. By discarding 1 card, you can Special Summon it from your hand, and if you do, its name becomes Dark Magician Girl. Upon the Normal or Special Summon of this card, you can add a copy of Shining Sarcophagus from your Deck to your hand, which is great for consistency, as you can search for another copy of this Apprentice for a follow-up or a copy of Gandora-G for a complete board wipe.

Within the eye of the Mystical Space Typhoon, players have been waiting patiently for a reprint of Radiant Typhoon Krosea, as the release of Doom of Dimensions was well over a year ago. A instant 3-of for any Radiant Typhoon Deck, Krosea lets you Special Summon her if a Quick-Play Spell is activated, and upon its Normal or Special Summon, you can add any Radiant Typhoon card, or Mystical Space Typhoon, from your Deck or GY to your hand, but for the rest of the turn, you can only Special Summon WIND monsters. An upside that Krosea has is that she cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects while the opponent controls no Spells/Traps, which could give some slight advantage when you are destroying or returning cards back to the opponent’s hand with Mystical Space Typhoon or Shiina, Twin Tempests of Celestial Thunder.

With new cards releasing in Immortal Phoenix for the Ars Magna theme this January and all the Medius Lore themes in general, it was shocking that Artmage Diactorus was not in Magnificent Maestros, as it became one of the centerpieces of the Ars Magna engine. This card needs a copy of Medius the Pure and an Artmage monster as its Fusion Materials, but thanks to Theorealize Medius, all you need to do is banish a monster face-up to banish the Theorealize Medius from your field to Special Summon any Diactorus monster from the Extra Deck. Most of the time, Artmage Diactorus will be Special Summoned for your end board, since if you have 3 or more different Monsters Types on your field, you can negate the activation of an opponent’s card or effect on the field, which makes this a great end board piece.

Hopefully, within the next couple of months, we see reprints to some of these cards and many others that players have been asking for over the past months. We've seen some already announced for a reprint, like Dominus Spark and Fallen of the White Dragon, so it's become a major waiting game.

Upcoming Cards To Be Reprinted

Players have been asking for affordability in the recent year due to many cards having high prices, and luckily with next year's Maze of Machines, Konami has you covered. Dominus Spark has been that card, as it's an excellent source of removal in exchange for preventing you from using monster effects of every attribute, except LIGHT and DARK, for the rest of the Duel, but only if Spark was activated from the hand. This card can be activated from your hand if the opponent activated a monster effect in their hand or GY that turn, as it allows you to target and banish 1 monster the opponent controls, but if you don't have a Trap Card in your GY, they can Special Summon a monster from their hand. Overall, it is a well-rounded removal piece that is great for Angelechy and plenty of other LIGHT and DARK Decks.

Next up on the block is Fydralius Harmonia, a staple in Synchro Decks since its release earlier this year. It's seen in Elfnote, Kewl Tune, Light and Darkness Ritual, and more as a great piece of a removal as well as a strong Tuner. This card can be activated in your hand if the opponent activates a monster effect on the field and by revealing up to 5 Synchro Monsters from your Extra Deck. This card can Special Summon itself, can destroy an opponent's monster on the field, and can also send a monster from your Extra Deck to the GY. The downside of this card is that you cannot activate the effects of monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck until the end of the next turn, except Synchro Monsters, so anything that activates in the GY is fair game.

Coming up in Ultimate Tournament Pack 2 is Dark Magician of Destruction, as this Fusion Monster is a centerpiece of the Dark Magician strategy and engine, to the point it's getting an Ultimate Rare. This card can be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by banishing a Level 6 or higher DARK Spellcaster from your field the turn a Spell Card was activated, or by using a Dark Magician and a LIGHT or DARK monster as Fusion Material. Upon its Special Summon, this monster can add any card that mentions Dark Magician in its text from your Deck to your hand, like The Gaze of Timaeus, which gives you access to any of your Dark Magician Fusion Monsters. On top of this, Dark Magician of Destruction is also treated as Dark Magician while on the field or in the GY, helping you activate The Gaze of Timaeus with ease.

Finally, as a card that has been a niche tech against Sacred Beast, Light and Darkness Ritual, and other Decks, Gravekeeper’s Watcher is finally seeing a reprint with clearer Problem-Solving Card Text. This card is great against Spell/Trap Cards or monster effects that include an effect that would make your opponent discard a card(s) (e.g. Mind Shuffle, Celtic Mystic, and plenty of Sacred Beast cards), as you can discard this card to negate the activation and destroy that card. It's been a needed reprint for some time, as players have been siding this in the recent months, so it's nice to see a card like this finally see the light of day again.

Right now, it's a waiting game for reprints from 2025, as they're slowly melding into the early sets for 2027. Along with that, this weekend is YCS Orlando, Florida, so to everyone who is heading down to the event, I wish you all the best of luck, and may the best Duelist win. This time around, it'll be iffy of what could win, but I have been on Team Light and Darkness Ritual for some time, but for Angelechy, they can take their win as the new TCG World Premiere theme to take the crown they deserve.
