Konami: Yudias’s Contact Fusion will be Galactica Oblivion….. with Transamu Rainac.
Although, personally, I would prefer if Yudias didn’t get a Contact Fusion since it would make his Dueling Skill more believable (i.e. trusting and planning with his own cards)
Konami likes to put Yudias’s cards in side products over core sets. They may be in the Neo Legend Awakening Pack instead of this one.
I also can’t stand bad supports for Rainac anymore when Yudias has so much potential for good cards. Konami just doesn’t want to make decent cards for the protagonist.
I’m curious what they gonna do with Gadget effects. There’s no concept of “search your deck” in Rush Duels so they gonna need to change them quite a bit or (much less probably) introduce deck searching.
They could change the Effect like what happened with several Harpie’s cards when they were imported into Rush Duels or give them the Effect of Excavate cards.
Either excavate a specific number of cards from the top of your Deck and you can add the Gadget to hand if you excavate it, or recover from GY.
Check 4 add the next gadget from there I expect
Basically:
– We’ll finally be able to combine Manabu’s Strategies into one Deck. Getting closer to having a proper Fusion Maximum Monster.
– Finally a new Maximum with Gadget coming to Rush Duels. It’s certain that the OG Gadget will have changed Effects (or be replaced by Excavate)
– Ancient Gear will receive complementary support in the HERO style. However, I didn’t expect it to be able to combine with Gadget.
– From Over Rush Pack 2, only Magnet Warrior was left without any confirmed support in this Pack (I wonder if Holo-Space Yggdrago means Zaion will have another Duel)
– We’ll have more Contact Fusion Monsters, especially the powerful Dark Matter Galaxy Dragon. I’m still waiting for a Contact Fusion for Dark Matter Mist (the real one)
– Curse of the Rising Light seems like it will be that Spell Card Staple that you want to have in your Deck.
This is looking to be the type of product that supports a wide variety of older Decks rather than introduce anything new. Even Gadgets are only brought in to support the existing Ancient Gear engine.
Most importantly, Maximums are finally getting more attention after having been overshadowed by the other mechanics for nearly an entire year. Even though we don’t have a Maximum Fusion Monster yet, standard Fusions that require Maximums as material are probably being introduced in place of them. The new Fusion Spell requiring a FIRE Maximum tells me we are getting at least a handful of new Fusions in this set alone. I expect 2 in this set, with the other one likely being more generic rather than have a specific material.
Galaxy Dragon being in here tells me we are getting the other Darkmen Contacts (at the absolute least Sabyuas’s as he is the most directly supported subordinate; maybe something new for Yuamu too when/if she duels in the season finale).
A bit disappointed we aren’t getting new Magnet Warrior support despite having also debuted in Over Rush Pack 2. The other two Cavalries are still not in the game.
– Gadgets seems to be its own Deck (the Maximum), but there will be cards that support Ancient Gear.
– I wonder if Chromatographagas will receive a Fusion Monster with a Maximum Monster since it has been a Normal Monster that has been in support with Manabu’s Maximum/Fusion strategy.
– I would include Zeyet with Sabyuas since she is the one with a Contact Fusion Monster in the Anime. About Yuamu, I have my doubts if she will have the Final Duel this Arc, but I do think she will have one more Duel this Arc.
– I hope that, in addition to Magnet Warrior, Metarion will receive additional support in a future pack.
Sabyuas is all but certain to use a Contact Fusion when he duels Fukamura next week. Zeyet could go either way but her specific Fusion may be too overpowered for Rush. Of their support cards, Sabyuas is the character to have most of his monsters and backrow printed.
Well… Dark Matter Galaxy Dragon fell into the “Fusion Monster too powerful to be printed unless it gets nerfed” category, but it’s being printed.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get Zeyet’s Contact Fusion Monster as it would also fall into the same category (with more severe nerfs)
However, my random wish is for Abysskite to get another Maximum Monster besides Okeabyss. Seeing as the Ryugu brothers are back in the story, I hope we get a Duel with Tremolo.
Calling it now, the OG Gadget effects will have you excavate the top 3 or 5 cards of your deck, add the corresponding Gadget to your hand, then shuffle the rest back or place them on the bottom.
Fun Fact : Salamandra in Greek means a kind of lizard 🦎 supposed to be an extinguisher of fire 🔥.

@rue to be fair people used to believe Salamanders could create fire since they liked to hide in firewood. So I’m pretty sure people didn’t know any better back then.
I mean in the US we still call American Bison Buffalos even though True Buffaloes don’t live in North America.

I think I mentioned in the anime post that Dark Matter Galaxy Dragon would get printed in the pack after the Dark matter focused one and I’m surprised to be right. They’ll probably print the other Darkmen contact fusions here too but we’ll see how bad the nerfs are.
Rush has always been more tribal focused with cards never supporting a specific “archetype” (think Skyscraper mentioning the Heros by name rather than just supporting “HERO” cards) but seeing them specifically say that Ancient gear will synergize with Gadget is still unexpected.
Rest are about what I expected beyond the surprise Zaion support. Hopeful it’d still be compatible with Nail’s Yggdrago since I want that deck to be at least playable.
I think a case of Decks that support each other was already seen in the Anime: Voidverg + Dark Matter.
Despite having specifications in statistics and playstyle, many Dark Matter cards support or improve Voidverg Deck.
