The newest Tryout Duel event, Time Travel 2004, will run until March 6th (time zones applying). By winning 3 Duels, you can obtain 1 pack of the most recent reprint pack, Name of Champions.
The special rules for this event limit the card pool to November 25th, 2004, which is the release date for the OCG version of Flaming Eternity. This is chronologically slightly earlier than the popular “Goat Format” (April 2005). The player going first will also draw a card. The Extra Deck is still limited to 15 cards, and the Main Deck is limited to a maximum of 60 cards.

A Deck that uses “Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8” as its ace card. “Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8” has an effect to negate the activation of a Spell Card, and destroy it. Ban list has some incorrect stuff. Confiscation and Painful choice are banned in the event
@Cloud What’s the point in bringing back a format if they aren’t following it accurately, banning cards that were legal and using crappy errata’d text that make the cards worthless? It’s as if Edison format had Ice Barrier synchros banned or errata’d.
@ Cloud: Thank you for pointing it out. Yes, Confiscation and Painful Choice should be legal, but are unobtainable in Master Duel.

Sad I missed this event! I hope it comes back as someone who has been playing GOAT for over a decade now this OCG version with updated cards and the Master Duel cards that are missing basically being banned makes for a fresh feeling Yugi-Boomer format. if they make this permanent I will reinstall Master Duel right now lmao
