After looking at the ASHLAN U1000, I realized that card would most likely be used in Nekroz, Libromancer and Demise & Ruin decks. I’m just throwing it out there.

Ashlan strikes me as soemthing that is meant to be sort of a bridge….
since most ritual archtypes dont mix well, this can help poeple who want to make hybrid decks…
like if somone wanted to combine nouvelle’s with voiceless voice.

      • The man on June 18, 2025 11:58 pm

Hardly on nekroz. All except metaltron are water

Maybe you have to toss another ritual engine into it

      Have Benten in hand

they keep adding these “fiend ritual” clauses, are we gonna get Zera the Mant at some point or a masked beast retrain or smth or is it gonna be another round of copium?

thats what ive been thinking to….because we DID get that Zera card in rush duel along withs several panic themed cards and a new retrain of Yamimaki.

its quite possible that we might get one of those
(honestly the Masked beast desperately needs one)

ASHLAND is kinda disappointing, I thought it would be a halq/electrumite tier support for rituals. Like come on at least give it an effect to ritual summon.

I figured it was the first one, but then the went and made him pope. Maybe it’s for a ritual that needs a pope to be sacrificed?

      • ScionStorm on June 18, 2025 2:50 pm

They are smirking and whispering in the Miracle Raven art. They know the Raven is just there for a sacrifice but the Raven thinks it’s become the pope.

I’m hoping the next anime deck TCG makes new cards for is Umbra and Lumis Mask deck. Retrain two of their DARK and two of their LIGHT normal monsters into effect Union monsters with an effect that adds their own level to the total if the monster their equipped to is used as tribute for a Ritual Summon.

Waiting on a Tuxedo mask (a raccoon would be awesome), update the unreleased anime cards, eclipse spell and a field spell for Lunalights
Maybe tuxedo or field can work like Triple Tactics Thrust but for lunas and able to activate the same turn set

Ayo, these new ritual cards greatly boost consistency, power and resource management for literally every older deck and even some of the newer stuff!

Let’s do a quick example with Demise or “Ruin” as the archetype is more commonly known. Raven alone allows for any of the three levels of cards to be summoned, no matter if you’re using Cycle, which has the modern “equal or exceed” text or End which has the outdated equal only. And don’t get me started on Turning, as that allows out of deck summons, which was always good, it just was hampered by the same issue all older ritual archetypes have, namely you’re expending several cards for a monster whereas all other types of summoning do more with less, save maybe Fusion. Now? Boom, you’ve got full tribute off one card, and the other one used to Ritual summon Raven. That’s three cards versus like five in the old days.

Oh and the Supreme versions? Well their effects just fully activated too. Demise is now just a free “LOLKABOOM” every turn, and Ruin? She’s now able to double attack, which is now ALSO good thanks to the new link, as she’s now not only got piercing, but she can burn for the ATk of what she destroys. She was the weak link before, and now even simply crashing into stuff works as she’s now able to quite literally walk through all but 3k stuff or higher, and that can just be delt with by Demise pulling off a Thanos snap.

THEY MADE RUIN THREATENING. Let that sink in. And that’s just this one deck, I don’t even want to think of what things like Gishki or Nekroz can do with these and a good pilot. Or hell, Libromancer, or VV, which didn’t need as much help, but definitely also benefit from these. Even Megalith ought to easily get some advanced combos out of Raven and Rites at the least.

I reaaaaly dont get miracle raven

Either there is a bunch of pendulum ritual support which i have forgotten about, or there isnt really a reason why it would be a ritual or pendulum.
It cant be pendulum summoned after being used by its effect on the field, so its stuck in he extradeck. And the summoning effect for the field is also… strange, it costs you a monster to get it out, but all you get it for it being immune to activated effects… not the monster summoned from it, not all effects, and if you summon it the intended way even mst could remove it. Its cost covering and generic serching effects are both very good, but the other things about it are all just so strange.

Readying of Rites is also just as strange. Its like its made speciffically for miracle raven, but instead of being something like either a ritual spell so it can be searched by Pre-Prep, its like pre prep itself, exept both suprisingly open, yet speciffic at the same time. Maybe once there is a second fiend level 1 pendulum ritual monster, but one which searches spells, then it will make sense, but as or right now its a strange support card for a already strange support card.

Oops i seem to have misread reaven, it NEEDS to be on the field for the whole tribute substitution to work.

This solves the problem of its summoning not making much sense, and Readying is signifficantly better now. However its Pendulum type is still rather confusing. If it had an effect like “This card must first be Ritual Summoned” it would have been completely fine, or maybe a self placing effect which can get it into the pendulum zone
