Of course the Dragon themed Monarch references the Dragon’s Gate.

【REQUIREMENT】 When your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster.
【EFFECT】 Choose 3 monsters with 1000 DEF from your GY and shuffle them into the Deck, then, if there are no cards in your Extra Deck, you can choose 1 face-up monster your opponent controls and destroy it.
Note: This card is referencing 登竜門 (Longmen) the Dragon’s Gate. (The whole Carp swims up a waterfall to become a Dragon). The myth has become a bit of a metaphor for adversity, hard work and perseverance.

Like Wilhel and Estrome, Lindorm also receives a signature summon Trap.
Perseverance is much easier to use. It works on all summons and at any Level. It can be used against any face-up monster, not just the one your opponent summoned. And you don’t need a monster on the field, or a Level 5 with 1000 DEF in your hand.
I wish we got Monarch support in the ocg as well.
