The Special Pack “True Legend Awakening Pack” that contains main Legend Cards for “Rush Duel” that were famous cards from the history of the “Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game” goes on sale October 12th, 2024. The previous “Legend Awakening Pack” that went on sale in March 2023 contained many Legend Cards and various support cards, but this time we’ll be focusing on three theme Decks that each contain their intended Legend Card, massively upgrading this product.
(1) “Ancient Gear”
The super popular Official Card Game theme “Ancient Gear” joins Rush Duel! It includes “Ancient Gear Golem” as a Legend Card!
(2) “Metarion”
The Cyborg-Type theme “Metarion” used by Goha Yuo in the “SEVENS” animated series gets a major power-up! It includes new cards related to “Monster Reincarnation”, used by Yuo in the animated series, but also a ton of new cards that support Fusion Summons!
(3) “Legend Magician”
The generic Rush Duel support monster “Legend Magician” gets expanded into their own theme, that builds on their world and lore! Many new cards that have effects that interact with Legend Cards appear!
In addition, other powerful Legend Cards as well as versatile and generic new cards and reprints of heavily in-demand cards are included, giving you a chance to super charge your Deck to the fullest!!

Second time in a row where a side set focused on the trinity of OCG import anime theme, Rush anime theme, and Rush game original theme.
I am not sure how Konami plans on buffing Monster Reincarnation and I hope it doesn’t go against the Metarion theme of countering specific Types.
As someone mentioned somewhere, this seems to be an Over Rush Pack or a Triple Build Pack rather than a Legend Awakening Pack.
So, it’s not “Monster Reborn”, it’s “Monster Reincarnation”.
– I’m curious if Rush’s Ancient Gear would use the Tribute Summon High ATK Boss Monsters approach or go with the Fusion route.
– Metarion was a Deck that needs help and a revamp, especially now with both Fusion Spell Card and Contact Fusion. I hope they get an equivalent to Sevens Wonder Fusion for the Deck. I have no idea what kind of support Konami would give Monster Reincarnation, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s tied to Gyakutenno Megami.
– Konami testing the waters to make Legend Magician and Legend Strike free again (thanks Ryozai). Interestingly, it is mentioned that they will expand their World and Lore, so I will be curious to see (as well as see how a Legend Card Deck would work)
While I did predict Ancient Gear cards coming to Rush and that Golem will be a Legend card. Now I’m wondering if Reactor Dragon is coming and its ATK will also be 3000 or 2500. Now I’m wondering if Gadget monsters are coming.
If Golem has to be a Legend to be put into Rush, there’s no way we are getting Reactor Dragon. At best we will get a weaker Rush original counterpart.
Not only does Monster Reincarnation requiremore attention, but also Yuo’s Gyakutenno portion of his Deck. Let’s hope for a brand new Fusion which merges both Gyakutenno and Metallions.
On the other hand, Go Rush not getting its own version of Megaroad Pack has me worried as the Equip mechanic is terribly underused in RL with many anime Equip Spells remaining unprinted.
If GO RUSH gets a Megaroad Pack, it would be almost at the end of the series (that is, when we are around Episode 147 or 148) or even when GO RUSH is over (SEVENS received its Megaroad Pack a few months after its end)
However, I do agree that Equip Spells, in the Rush Duels format, is quite neglected (as is Maximum Monsters)
Which is funny since Equip Spells are still a recurring thing in the Anime (while Maximum Monsters only appear rarely)
We just got a Megaroad Pack last October so we aren’t exactly being pressed on getting a new one anytime soon.
But what Megaroad Pack 2 has done, and what this pack will seemingly do due to the Metarion support in here, is cross promote Duel Links. I have no doubt the cards in here will tie into Yuo/Fusions being introduced into the game.
I expect Megaroad Pack 3 sometime next year after GO RUSH ends, maybe in October 2025.
For as important as the spell is in the anime, I’m surprised Monster Reborn hasn’t gotten it’s own support yet. Heck they could even pull from stuff in the OCG like Monster Rebirth or Reborn Reborn
Funny, AG has been low tier rogue, for ages now… Even with their recent supports, they still are [low tier rogue]… Even Heroes are better than AG, and… AG is slightly more expensive than Heroes… Compared of the two anyway…
Metarion comes in a secundary pack(like RR and cyberse), this probaly means Yuo comming to DL in Set-oct
