        Tbh, other than yummy the other archetypes seem very bad.

        Dragon tale is Another dragon fusion deck that’s art looks mid.

        Ripper is just waifu and foot fetish lure.
        They gonna have some next “feet Ash”
        Cards in there.

        Only yummy is something interesting as they can support Ancient fairy dragon probably.

        Fiendsmith looks sh1t too aside from the lady, yet look at how they ruined the game by brainrotting people into turning everything into Fiendsmith deck

      Konami said that, to avoid repeating the pattern, they put the Mecha element on the Dragon and the Waifu. That leaves Yummy as the only fresh/unique Deck.

      K9 seems to come from Zenless Zone Zero (Konami wants to take advantage of Hoshimi Miyabi’s popularity)

      Some thoughts and predictions.

      1. Dragon Tale will be a hybrid Spellcaster & Dragon archetype with a big emphasis on their multiple Fusion Spells, getting them a good toolbox of Dragon Fusion Monsters.

      2. Yummy might have a gimmick with the Synchro equipping their Tuners? Or at least a mechanical way to replicate that blurb about the monsters catching the sweet. Very excited for that one.

      3. K9 would likely be a Beast Warrior Xyz theme, maybe even with anti-DARK effects. Would be a great way to revitalize some Zoodiac cards.

        With the given tagline, I bet Dragon Tale:
        1) is vaguely based on “Keeper of Dragon Magic”
        2) has a retrain of “Keeper of Dragon Magic” or will have an alt art in the future
        3) will have “Keeper of Dragon Magic” added on yugipedia as a ‘related’ card.

        Maybe. I myself feel that they’ll cameo in artwork like Evil/Twins did.

        In fact, I’ve been trying my hand at a story where Dinomorphia is part of the S-force world, but don’t really interact with them because they operate in a distant and different city.

      These all seem neat.

      The Yummy one seems too funny, and K9 is has a cool dynamic style to it. Dragon Tale isn’t my cup of tea.

        I mean, it’s totally possible but it would be a bit redundant both in terms of lore and support since Konami already introduced us to most of the characters and S Force has a ton of monsters in the main deck.

        Yeah that’s what it looks like to me, too. Given the lore for Dinomorphias too, their world containing other half-humans like this as a counterpoint to their dinosaur ‘superior’ genetics, makes a lot of sense.

        The S-Force look is way different to this.

      Those really don’t look great. I guess Yummy is cute at least, but “Dragon Fusion mech” and “generic Waifu – Xyz Edition (No 2)” really isn’t innovative at all.

      They really love their Dragon Fusions, huh? Too bad Dragon Tale is the least interesting of the three design wise, at least to me.

      Monsters that were rocks with googly eyes would be more interesting.

      YGOrg commenters really are the whiniest mf’ers. Every time it’s “OMG THE WAIFUS” or “WOW KONAMI HAS RUN OUT OF IDEAS”, when really they just realise they have lots of different markets. People who want gross/cool looking monsters, people who want cute stuff, people who want anime styled stuff, people who want lore heavy stuff or story arcs.

      Granted, I think they should try to dip away from dropping a dragon (or at least dragon themed) archetype with each of these deck builds, there’s a market for it. Likewise for archetypes with cute anime girls at their centre, or stuff focused on mecha. But, even beyond that, within those archetypes there’s more variety than you give credit for. I mean look at some of the past deck builds

      Labrynth, Runick, Vaylantz (does this count as a waifu archetype? Alongside Lab? I’ve been reliably informed if an anime girl exists in an archetype it is a waifu archetype, which makes people seethe for some reason.)

      Mikanko, Purrely, Rescue Ace

      Nouvelles, Vanquish Soul, Transcendosaurus

      Centur-ion, Memento, Vaalmonica

      Maliss, Ryu-Ge, Ryzeal

      Plenty of variety here. I think they could definitely break away in some respects, but none of the archetypes here are devoid of creativity, and lots of them are quite fun in play style. Vanquish Soul is one of my favourite decks of all time as a mid-range-y tempo based deck.

      Guess what I am saying is, you people will whine with every piece of support released, and there’s really no pleasing you.

        There are definitely some usual suspects in that regard…Sometimes it really does feel like people forget these cards have effects on them.

        Having to actually ask if Labrynth is waifu…

        Mikanko, Vaalmonica, Maliss. In nearly every DB set there’s some sort of obvious Waifu bait. The real refreshing surprise is when there isn’t waifu bait. And it shouldn’t be like that. If waifus weren’t marketed with a frequency rivaling dragons people wouldn’t complain about waifu decks popping up here and there once in a while.

        Also Maliss in just the last DB set. A complete waste of source materials potential. There’s absolutely no reason all the characters of wonderland need to be girls in cosplay. Except to force the waifu angle just to pander to all the waifu addicts.

        Well unfortunately that kind of mindset in all communities. I’m someone who loves the Fallout series and enjoyed 3 and 4. But your alway gonna get those elitists who just bashed the games and only consider 1,2 and New Vegas the best games in the series. People can’t just let other enjoy what they want.

      I’m excited for the Yummy reveals, it’s time Beasts got more time on the spotlight. Even better if it boosts the playability of Ruka’s Deck.

      Am curious what the rest of the K9 characters will look like, furry themes are bit on the rarer side. However the Dragon Tale deck looks like they’ll have pretty boring designs going off their first member here.

      I came from the future.
      AFD/Yummy hybrid decks are currently Tier 0. Literally nobody plays anything else. The game is in the worst spot since FTK meta of 2018. There are serious discussions about Konami abandoning Advanced format and pumping everything into already announced TCG release of Rush Duels.

        There are a few rules when it comes to posing. I have some experience with posing, because I like to look at art with special poses a lot and also collect gunpla, which you can put in a lot of poses to make them look cool. This one is the thirty-fourth of them. If you wanna learn more about the pose in Reversion, google “Dinomorphia Rule thirty-four”.

      Hopeful that K9 supports 4axis beast warriors since would be cool to get Fire Fist loops online easier since the deck makes six sam styled combo loops throught tri brigades and ancient warriors to this day.

      Is there a lore connection to X? Maybe, but it’s just as likely because modern ygo artwork is samey and becomes a blur after a while. Like r-ace was jade knight, genex neutron, and some machina thing slapped together with a red coat of paint.

      Ngl that K9 card is confusing. K9 is supposed to be Canine yet the ears and tail are not canine-like features. It’s more feline than anything else.

        I think shes a weasel: they’re caniforms but have round ears and a long tail; shes also noticeably lanky like them.

        To be fair, we haven’t really trained anything else for police units. K9 may just be animal units, as opposed to the beginning/current state of dogs. I mean we have bomb rats but that’s more military than emergency forces. Imagine you call the police and a moose comes rushing in.

      For the love of god, stop releasing dragon archetypes. Please focus on other types… do pyro and sea serpents not exist ?? what about Beast monsters ??? what about Rock monsters ?? jesus. dragons have the largest card pool in the game and you still pump them

        We literally are leaving few formats long time frame with one of the dominating deck being Pyro-based. On top of that we got Ashened and pretty strong Volcanic support. Before that you had freaking Tearlaments. Before that you had Sprights, a freaking thunder-type.

        Pretending that any of the types are under supported is just brain-dead copy pasted bullcrap. And well, the trifecta of Dragon-Spellcaster-Warrior (with Machines being close fourth) always was more favored, mostly because they represent the protagonist trio of original Yu-Gi-Oh! and because dragons, spellcasters and warriors are universally considered cool.

        While I understand that the complaints regarding the Dragon type are perhaps not the best structured

        Frankly, cases like Puro being meta has been an exception rather than the norm (not to mention that Snake Eye gained some infamy) the same applies to support

        Without going any further, we had new Dragon Ruler support and now a new Dragon Deck (this was probably intentional) so yes, although it is not expressed in the most polite way, the resentment towards the Dragon type is quite understandable
