RD/GC25-JP001 示顕する貴巳神 Shigen-suru Takamikami (Manifestation of Takamikami)
Level 8 LIGHT Reptile Normal Monster
ATK 2500
DEF 2000
栄華を奏でる天意の兆し。集いし者を比類なき舞台に導かん。
(A sign of divine will that dances and sings Glory. Lead those who have assembled together towards an unparalleled stage.)
Note: 貴巳神 means literally Noble Snake Kami, but considering the names of Kami can often be literally “What they are/do”, I’ll leave it as Takamikami. (An example of this is Amaterasu Oomikami is literally Shining Great Noble Kami)

Big snake
I guess this was support for Mitsuko, Tamako and Ferko’s Deck.
It’s just the year of the snake.
Last year’s reward was a normal dragon with the same level, attack, and defense because it was the year of the dragon.
It just snake year my guy
Almost same stat as Dark Magician but why is this card not considered Legend? Is it because it’s one level higher or because Dark Magician has more supports (other than being a signature card)
Who knows~
Legend being an inherent power limit seems great at first look but powercreep will powercreep, and non-legend stuff will become more powerful than the legend stuff, leaving legend cards wondering why be legend in the first place.
Amaterasu’s literal translation means “Illuminating Heaven” so Amaterasu Oomikami (if I’m right on the translation for Oomikami) means something like “Great Goddess Illuminating Heaven”
i never got this disapointed about a monster being normal in my whole life. the first good looking light reptile and don’t run in any deck :/
