Ah, Cyberse at last! I hope that spell and trap get some recycle added, trap especially. They needed something like it. And a good number of these ARE buffed from anime.
Some of them got nerfed though. Deep Warning Fusion now summons LIGHT or DARK, and Seed Driver now requires the only monsters in your GY to be Cyberse, a huge step down from before.
@N:
In practice, these don’t feel like “nerfs” in the traditional sense. Not to me, at least. The ones you mentioned seemed more like genuine design balancing and future-proofing choices, so they can make new Cyberse themes in the future without worrying about them tripping over the support they’re making now.
On top of that, the changes don’t harm how they’re meant to be used in the Decks they’ve made for (since they’re mostly joint support for both Nail and Zaion). Space Seed Driver is meant to recover and setup for your Yggdrago Maximum or Fusions. The Cyberse-only GY requirement is so that it doesn’t find its way in some hybrid-generic Deck and end up getting abused there. But in its own theme? That doesn’t matter, since the user would only want to recover the aforementioned Yggdrago things anyway. Similarly, Deep Warning Fusion’s minor change is fine. It doesn’t change anything about its functionality in practice. And if/when they create new Cyberse themes that use Fusions, they can (and likely will) simply print a new in-theme Fusion for said theme.
Of all the things related to Space, a Chair Monster was one of the things I least expected. Especially that Chair Monster to work with both its own Deck and a Nail’s Deck (Maximum Yggdrago)
Speaking of Nail, seeing that he’s accompanying Zaion in support, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are Nail-related cards in that section: like some new Spell/Trap Card.
With OG Yggdrago getting its Over Rush Rare, that only leaves JP002 and JP003 as the only Monsters that we know of (or were previously introduced to) that will receive Over Rush Rare.
There’s another ORR only slot
Ygg is also a common for some reason
Mostly a mixed bag of cards, but that new Chair and Space Call are so good. The Trap is situationally useful for the Tron engine and the Sol Fusion. The Deck supporting Level 7s now also makes it easy to pack with Ship.
Guardian of Cyberse, Space Resonance, and one of Zaion’s remaining anime Traps should also be in here.
Am I the only one hype at the fact that we finally got a payoff for Dark Femtron?
It’s fun to think that Dark Femtron foreshadowed GO RUSH and the existence of Space (Zaion’s Deck) since it came out almost as SEVENS was about to end.
Basically, the description of it is as follows:
“The source of the draconic tree that is connected to another providence. It conceals infinite branches that lead to an unseen world”
That “another providence” detail refers to Space Yggdrago and “unseen world” is an indirect reference to GO RUSH.
That’s what I was referring to, haha. The existence of Chaos Femtron just completes it. I’m happier about that than I should be, 😛
F for yggdrago no have alt art, but ok, over rush is over rush
But continue a bad card, F Neil (but space look a nice deck)
Deep space yggdrago looks very hard to remove from the field….
DARKNESS GALACTICA OBLIVION!!!!
The difficulty will be how to bring Deep Space Yggdrago onto the Field consistently: I think it’s Konami’s way of balancing it by making Fusion Summon difficult.
Dear Konami. Pls make 2 fusions that uses Space Yggdrago + Light and Dark Cyberse pls
