You better believe I build some of my profiles IRL too.

Video Description:
Welcome to my ‘In Real Life’ take on Flame Swordsman Fire King. In this video, I walk through my actual complete decklist, explaining each card’s role, ratio, and more. At the end, I’ve also taken some time recording basic combos, as well as a sample hand just to show off what’s possible. If you would prefer to stick to my normal replay-heavy content, be sure to check out the original deck profile here:

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US!
Thank you and happy thanksgiving to everyone as well.
Always enjoy your profiles and have gotten good ideas from them. Keep up the great work!
Remember the Yugioh that kept innovating on itself. I kinda hope they cancel Rush Duels to put design effort back into Master Duels. Rush Duels is not doing anything new anyways, just silly anime monsters and stolen mechanics.
Technically, we do have innovation in Master Duels… but it comes from the TCG Archetypes: they usually have the most unique Mechanics, but they are not good Decks to face the Meta.
And well, Master Duels can still keep innovating, but that only makes the Decks stronger by default.
And the arguments for deleting Rush Duels are funny:
– Nothing new: I mean, Rush Duels doesn’t have Chains, which already makes the Game very different in Gameplay to Master Duels.
– It has silly Anime Monsters: And aren’t Toons, Vehicroid, Morphtronic, Gagaga and Performapal also silly Anime Monsters? Like the Fifth Generation of Pokemon, we ignore the badass/brutal Anime Monsters of Rush Duels.
– Stolen Mechanics: It rather improves Mechanics that didn’t work in Master Duels. At the same time, it also removes many Mechanics that existed in Master Duels.
Nah, Rush Duels will live on, cope.
I hope you realize more people play Rush Duels in a tiny island in Asia than people do with TCG in North America.
It’s sad how self-centered some westerners are, but I mean what to expect from “Chaos MAX”.
Ignore this chaosmax guy, he spergs out constantly that konami won’t do African theme decks for him. Your points are dumb anyway. There’s more than enough innovation and effort in master duels which you’d know if you actually played the game and wasn’t just moaning all the time.
Maximums are new, rituals from the extra deck are new. Besides, there’s not enough design space now in master duel where a new summoning mechanic wouldn’t be redundant. What’s left to do honestly? Just leave it to rush duels to have innovation because apart from new varieties of effects, master duel has pretty much been “completed” in terms of what next.
Sperg harder. Also me agreeing with Bruno Santo is crazy.
I mean its not just new card types they could innovate in, more like different “effect parameters” and play styles. Like an Xyz Deck focused on tributing tokens instead of using monsters as material, with effects about stealing opponent’s resources as material. Or a Fusion/Synchro/Rituals/Link + Xyz Deck using Xyz to store materials/Tributes. Or a Deck about needing to maintain an Even or Odd number of cards of your field for different effects. Or a werewolf like deck about changing between Warrior Type to Beast-Warrior Type. Heck a Deck about doing a convulsion of nature deal and having different bonuses whether a monster, spell or trap is the top card of your Deck. Or even just different design aesthetic and inspirations, Yugioh has kinda been reusing the same Animey or Europeaney concepts over and over again.
who did you steal this one from this time eh Quincy?
No one, it actually makes the fire king deck weaker
This is my deck, that I spent nearly 40 minutes walking through in explicit detail, following up on a video I made on it 3 months ago with a less optimized build. I’ve explicitly talked about this for months on the YGOrg Discord, as the build got slowly refined over time to where it stands today. Plus, this is exactly the type of strategy that fits my personal playstyle and the decks I tend to actually pilot: something that merges archetypes together, features underutilized cards, and one that amplifies power plays over hyper consistency that’s more common in the TCG.
I’m fine with criticism for not doing this type of IRL deck profile well, because I know there are tons of great creators out there that have perfected this when I haven’t, but baseless accusations? That’s well over the line. So, let me politely ask you to focus that energy elsewhere. If nothing else, please channel that to create something of value to add to the greater YGO community – everyone adding in their ideas to the ecosystem is what makes YGO so great to me.
Either way, thanks for engaging with my content and hope you have a nice holiday.
Sorry you have to deal with stuff like this. Personally I enjoy the creative deck profiles that get posted here and appreciate the work you put into them. Happy holidays.
I see flame swordsman I click 🙂
I hope the archetype get new support soon to get a bit more competitive
