【EFFECT】 Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY, then, you can choose 2 FIRE monsters in your GY and shuffle them into the Deck. If you returned cards, then, draw 1 card.

【REQUIREMENT】 If you control 1 or more face-up Pyro, Aqua and/or Thunder monsters you control.
【EFFECT】 Inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If you control a monster in Maximum Mode, then, choose 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, it loses 1500 ATK until the end of the turn.

【EFFECT】 All face-up monsters on the field lose 700 ATK times [The number of face-up Level 7 or higher on the field].

【REQUIREMENT】 Shuffle a total of 3 Pyro, Aqua and/or Thunder monsters from your GY back into the Deck and equip this card to 1 face-up monster on the field.
【EFFECT】 The equipped monster loses 1000 ATK but cannot be destroyed by the effects of Trap Cards. If the equipped monster is a Maximum Monster, the equipped monster can attack directly.

Note: Maguto’s cards are all weird “weapon” + “A type of fish” joke names. I’m not entirely sure what Hadoutou might be playing at entirely, but there’s a non-zero change it’s playing Hadou, “Military Conquest and Governance”.

Note: Tanegashima is the Japanese name for the Arquebus or Matchlock. Maguro is a Tunny or young Tuna.

Note: Onimaru Kunitsuna is the name of a famous sword in Japan, one of the “Tenka-Goken”, and is said to have even slain an Oni, hence the name. It’s also a play on Tuna.

【EFFECT】 While this card is face-up in the Field Zone, if a player controls only 1 monster, that monster cannot attack monsters. Face-Up Fish, Sea Serpent, Thunder and Aqua monsters are unaffected by this effect.

波導活魚剣 Hadou Katsugyoken (Wave-Style: Sword Fresh Out Of The Tank)

【REQUIREMENT】 When a Fish monster you control is destroyed by your opponent’s attack OR You take damage due to your opponent’s effect.
【EFFECT】 Inflict 500 damage to the opponent, then, choose up to 3 face-up Fish monsters you control with 1500 or less ATK. If chosen, during this turn, you take no damage from those monsters battling.

Note: 活魚 means “Sea Food Prepared Fresh Out Of The Tank In-Store”, lit. “Live Fish”.

The name itself is a play on 活人剣 Katsujinken, a Japanese idiom that a sword can be a tool to save lives, despite it being a tool to end and harm lives. It’s based on the principles of martial arts in general where your first instinct shouldn’t be violence, but violence CAN be used to end other violence.

It’s also connected to how martial arts and swordsmanship can be used to help refine someone mentally and sharpen their skills and encourage better self growth and discipline.
