Welcome to the continuation of my Five-Minute Testing series, this set closing out highlighting the new Spirit Monster Sakitama (YGOrg Translation) to empower a variety of strategies. Today’s first FMT video focuses on using Sakitama and Nikitama‘s additional Normal Summons to serve as excellent fodder for the summons of Monarch monsters. Whether it is Ehther the Heavenly Monarch or Zaborg the Mega Monarch, your reigning leaders need to step on their spiritual subjects to rise to power. Sakitama just turns that Tribute into fodder to repeat the action on the following turn. Since almost all of your monsters can be Normal Summoned, Sword Emperor – Tsumuhakutsunagi (YGOrg Translation) and Yata-Garasu wait in the wings to end the duel unexpectedly, especially when the Sword Emperor makes an unexpected appearance off of Escalation of the Monarchs…
Today’s second FMT video brings back the full ‘Tama’ spirit suite with Odion’s Trap theme, centered around Continuous Traps. Pharaonic Advent is key here, Special Summoning itself from the hand by tributing a monster while also tributing a Fairy or Fiend to tutor a Continuous Trap to your hand. In either case, if you Tribute the new Sakitama, it returns to your hand to be Tributed yet again on the following turn for more advantage. Whether it is looking to Summon Limit or Synchro Zone (YGOrg Translation) to slow down the opponent, or turning to Mimesis Elphant, The First Monarch, and Angel Statue – Azurune to Synchro Summon Chaos Angel (YGOrg Translation), this strategy can annoy and deflect the most determined of foes!
