Not really, for this card at least. There’s a lot more backrow removal/negation played nowadays than there was when the original First of the Dragons mattered. No meta decks are going to play 3 normal monsters and jump through the hoops to end on this when it just loses to an Imperm.
I’m not a big fan of the First of the Dragonlords’ third effect. It can backfire on people who uses True Light in Blue Eyes’ decks…
True, but “Blue-Eyes” do have ways to work around it. For instance by chaining it with “Interdimensional Matter Transporter”, “First OF The Dragonlords” will be protected and be able to reuse it effect.

You can use Spirit Dragon to negate True Light or use Sifr/Azure-eyes to protect your board.
Sifr/Azure work in general terms but won’t protect this fusion because it’s unaffected by their effects and it’ll die anyways in that case

At least it’s a target for Primite Fusion which helps recycle your bricks to make a reactive backrow wipe that would be annoying for your opponent to out. I imagine Gem-Knights or Magikey would love something like this. With Greater Polymerization though, it would be a close Towers. Just something to keep in mind, I suppose.

My first fought was ancient gear support until I read it, but this thing dose become a problem with greater poly, and any Gemini deck can make this thing as well, so we all might need to keep an eye out for this thing as it might become a real problem in the right format
I could see this card being used in Ojamas.
