The banlist isn’t made around casual or old decks. If you wanna play competitive you’ll have to deal with current age tools. If your deck has little floating, then look for alternatives such as effect protection. Otherwise, play older formats (no offense). The number of costless nukes will just keep increasing over time.

raigeki is still powerful, but honestly, it’s fine at 3, raigeki is already at 3 in the TCG, but nobody plays 3 raigkei anyway, we have so many good cards that can easily replace raigeki, like dark ruler no more which your opponent’s monsters can’t response, and we have forbidden droplets, we also have evenly matched, which is probably more meta relevant than raigeki. If I have the right to limit one card, it would be evenly matched. I really feel like evenly matched should be limited.

Don’t get excited with Maxx C hit, it was already at 2 in the OCG years ago, and the Mulchammy stuff may never see enough play for them to want to remove the old roach.

Fuwaross is a 3 of staple in the OCG, it’s so over for roach.
Actually in the recent ocg tournament, mulcharmy is played in almost every deck
Hmmm… So, will people have to start maxxing on every mulcharmy that gets released, and have all their decks partly consist of ~10 cards that are essentially roach replacements? I’m not sure if that will be better than running 2-3 roaches, at least regarding deck construction.
Depending on the future Mulcharmy releases it’d probably just be 3 Fuwaross and 3 Purulia in the side deck for certain matchups. Most decks special summon from the deck/ED moreso than hand and personally I think running 3 of each is too much (and if you open only, say, Fuwaross against Floo then congrats on your new baby brick).
You’re deluded – they printed the Mulcharmys to act as a replacement for Maxx “C”. It’s at 2 now as they’re slowly phasing it out (will either go to 1 or be banned in their next ban list).

@Engalar Excuse me, sir, but printing replacements isn’t a guarantee the originals will be gone. Lightning Storm was clearly a replacement for both Raigeki and HFD, and not few people predicted those would get hit; now you see they aren’t. I could name more cases, but you get it.
@kasds not every deck can run fuwaross due to space constraints like cyber dragon. Fuwaross is being used as side deck in other ocg decks as well. Is it a staple for modern decks? yes. But all the others where engine trumps non-engine for consistency? no.

No Fuwaross is mainly played in main, alongside Maxx.
Purulia is not so much played, except in Tenpai who has room for handtrap.
The Maxx C fuwaross combi is also the reason why some people side heavy slump

Maxx C being hit was only a matter of time and I knew it’d be a gradual thing to ease into the new Mulcharmy format. The Dragon rulers and Dracoslayer stuff being freed was a bit unexpected but I do believe Dracoslayer support is coming in Alliance Insight and this only pushes that belief further. Rest is about what I expected and pretty good

I am really tired of maxx “c” in the master duel, it’s way too powerful, that I have to and must play cards just to counter it, like ash blossom, called by the grave. If they just ban maxx “C”, that’s at least 6 cards out of my speedroid deck, I would take out 3 maxx “c” and 3 ash blossom, because without maxx “c”, I don’t have to ash blossom, I prefer ghost mourner because she is a wind attribute.

Flamberge Dragon is essentially Blue-Eyes in the lore, which should give some indication as to its survivability.

No. Many of these unbans are for cards that don’t see play and the meta can easily prepare for.
Hope Dragoon going to one is a sign we’ll be getting news for a Dark Magician Structure Deck soon .
