LEGO’s latest challenge is your chance to create an official Yu-Gi-Oh! LEGO set!
It’s Time To Duel!
And it’s also time to design! To celebrate the incredible world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, we invite you to believe in the heart of the bricks and showcase your favorite moments from the anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters using LEGO Bricks!
To join the game, we want to see your amazing creations which focus on the iconic Battle City and Duelist Kingdom tournaments from the anime!
We’re talking:
- Awesome display models of your favorite duelist and their trademark monster (or monsters)!
- Dynamic dioramas of duels between two iconic characters as seen in the anime – make sure you showcase the duel faithfully as it happened!
- Cleverly curated monster(s) built into a creative display!
Believe In The Heart Of The Cards!
We want to see builds that bring the energy of Yu-Gi-Oh! to life! You should create your ultimate builds, based on the Battle City and Duelist Kingdom tournament arcs from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime. This means your build can only showcase duels, monsters, and/or characters that were featured in those episodes of the anime! It’s hard to pick a favorite!
You’ve Activated My Trap Card!
Don’t get caught out by the piece limit! With a maximum of 2000 pieces, it’s all about capturing the essence of those duels, characters and their monsters in a creative and cohesive way.
It’s your move!
The challenge is divided into the following phases:
Building Phase (4th of February – 10th of March, 2026, 6:00 AM EST):
- Builds should follow LEGO’s rules guidelines.
- Total pieces allowed: 400 – 2000.
- Builds must be based on the Duelist Kingdom and/or Battle City arcs from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.
- The deadline is 6:00 AM EST on the 10th of March, 2026, but LEGO recommends submitting your builds two days prior to give you time to make requested changes. If changes are required, you have until 6:00 AM EST on the 11th of March, 2026.
- You can either use physical LEGO or a digital tool like Bricklink Studio and other third-party software to build your creation.
- You can use editing software on your images, but AI-generated art or copywriting is not allowed.
Expert Phase (11th of March – 14th of April, 2026):
Experts will review and select up to 5 builds to move to the Fan Vote on April 14th 2026. These will be rated on overall coolness and originality, inspired details, relevance to theme, and best use of LEGO elements (Nice Part Usage, for those familiar with LEGO slang).
Voting Phase (14th of April, 2026, 6:00 AM EST -28th of April, 2026, 6:00 AM EST):
During this phase, LEGO Ideas members can vote 1 time for their favorite build out of the final 5. It should be emphasised that the winner of the Fan Vote is not guaranteed to become an official set, as that decision will still be made by the LEGO Ideas board, but provides important feedback for their decisions.
Grand Selection Announcement (prior to the 10th of September, 2026, 6:00 AM EST):
The results will be posted on LEGO Ideas, and the Grand Selection and Fan Vote picks will receive the prizes for their victories. The Selected entries will be contacted via the email linked to their LEGO ID.
Prizes:
The Grand Prize Selection will see their build turned into a LEGO set. They will also receive credit and compensation as described in LEGO’s Product Ideas Guidelines and Terms of Service. This means they will receive 1% of the total net sales of the product, 10 complimentary copies of their LEGO Ideas set, and credit and a bio as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer in the set materials.
Entries that are selected to participate in the Fan Vote, but are not selected for the Grand Prize, will receive the following LEGO sets: 21358 – Minifigure Vending Machine, 21359 – Italian Riviera, 21349 – Tuxedo Cat, 21365 – Love Birds , 21376 – Orange Cat.

As long as there not as expensive as those Pokémon 30th anniversary Lego sets are.
The ABC and VWXYZ union monsters would make great Lego sets.
Dude I would love to see the A-Z monsters become an actual set. Would be a fun combination set that one would find in a Ninjago set or even Voltron. Give me VWXYZ Dragon Catapult or even A-to-Z Dragon Buster Cannon. Hopefully the pricing isnt as atrocious as the Lego Pokemon sets.
Man would I love to see Yusei’s D-wheel as an actual set. I’ve seen many Chinese Lego on Aliexpress have some impressive builts that I bought one myself which is a motorcycle based on a gacha game. Big too. Surprised none of them made Yusei’s Duel Runner. Speaking of bootleg, there are Dark Magician and Blue Eyes sets around the size of figurines, never bought em but seen good reviews.
omg i looove duel monsters, i would do anything for more duel monsters, yes another thousand years to yugi and kaiba supremacy, other protagonists who, wdym there’s more arcs than the first 2, dark magician could beat Decode Talker with ease!!!!
