Apparently the initial batch of DVDs and Blu-Rays for the home release of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions are defective and flawed.
According to information from fans being shared around online, it’s been confirmed (and corroborated by 4KMedia), that Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions’ home release in the US has been released as a defective product. Essentially the flaw is that the DVD and Blu-Rays produced by Anchor Bay (a subsidiary of Lion’s Gate Entertainment) were released with only subtitles for the English Language version of the movie.
For those unaware, the English Language version of The Dark Side of Dimensions glosses over much of the specifics of the powers and goals of Aigami and his fellow Plana, along with much of the movie’s metaphysical concepts, in favor of a more streamlined and easy to understand script.
However, as we reported back in April, 4KMedia did do a theatrical limited release of the movie with accurate subtitles explaining the plot of the movie, so this material was on hand to be used for a home video release.
Lion’s Gate and Anchor Bay have acknowledged the flaws with the DVD and Blu-Ray released, and is willing to replace the defective products in question provided you get in contact with them.

Similar errors were included with the digital iTunes version of The Dark Side of Dimensions, but 4KMedia has since corrected this error.
