Okay, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon has some important changes in Rush Duels.
– It’s not treated as “Red-Eyes” (so, you can’t use it as Fusion Material)
– You can Special Summon multiple Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragons from your Hand (unlike in the OCG/TCG, where you could only Special Summon them once per turn)
Anyway, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, in addition to fitting into any Dragon Deck, can also be used in the Maximum variant of Red-Eyes (its Level 10 helps with synergy with classic Maximum support)
And well, although the card doesn’t say it, Emetaire the Flame Spirit screams to be part of Chemicalize since it has a rare Requirement that only Maddox’s cards have.
REDMD is a Legend card, so you can’t summon multiple copies of it in Rush anyway. Not to mention the effect is HOPT, even if it weren’t a Legend.
Still a solid Legend pick for most Dragon decks.
The only real change from the OCG/TCG to RD is the Special Summon condition for itself given there’s no removal/banishment in Rush Duels, obviously.
It otherwise is overall the same as the OCG/TCG. As mentioned, being Legend means you can only have one in your Deck, so there’s no need to specifically restrict itfrom Special Summoning itself with its own effect.
And if you mean its name doesn’t become “Red-Eyes Black Dragon” anywhere, then the OCG/TCG version doesn’t treat itself as REBD either. It’s still a “Red-Eyes” monster for effects that specify that though.
Imagine typing all that text and not having a clue what you’re talking about…
I’m sorry, recover ANY 5-8? That’s wild
It’s advertised as a chase card in the set and as such has a generic effect albeit HOPT.
I love it!
Oh no, so i cant play redmd in a red-eyes deck as long as i play…. Red-eyes? :O
Yeah, but you can still use another RE that call themselve REBD XD
But I wanted to use that monster in my BE deck, but… :’v
Dr. Red has always been as much a Red-Eyes card as Verte Anaconda was a Predaplant card.
That red-eyes background change instantly makes the artwork better, man if only they used rush duel arts in the main tcg/ocg game too
