Strategic Summary:
Cannonball right back into the ocean with my third take on a Whitewater strategy. Be sure to check out the 2nd by clicking here and the 1st by clicking here.
The Whitewater strategy is all about combining the best of a bunch of different WATER and Fish type-centric themes to make the most of WATER Synchro monsters, because let’s face it, the attribute has a ton of biodiversity. White Aura Whale remains the bomb of the deck, destroying your opponent’s monsters and attacking twice before they can react. On the other hand, both it and White Aura Monoceros offer the ability to endlessly float back from the GY, giving you a stream of protection in a pinch. Alongside the Auras, Adamancipator Risen – Dragite finds a great home here, alongside some help from Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys and Crystron Quariongandrax. For the Link side of the deck, turn to Mermail Abyssalacia to boost your monsters while dissuading an opponent from attempting to attack through your boards or Crystron Halqifibrax, to use his blatant power to the WATER attributes advantage.
If you’re fishing for engines, let me do a quick rundown. First is the Nimble engine, centered around Nimble Angler, to spam way too many monsters to the field for minimal cost. Deep Sea Diva offers a Sea Serpent-based support combo-stream off the Normal Summon, especially with Deep Sea Artisan to summon back more WATER monsters. Mermail Abyssteus leads the charge with a small Mermail engine to ensure ways to discard your Nimble Anglers, while also tutoring Level 3 WATERs with Mermail Abysspike. Speaking of Level 3s, Crusadia Arboria serves as an easy to summon Tuner monster. And speaking of Tuners, we have a solid Fishborg school with Fishborg Launcher and Fishborg Archer covering your bases and summoning themselves from the GY. New for this iteration is also an Abyss Shark (YGOrg Translation) engine, because alongside Mermaid Shark, it serves as just another way to get more Fish into your hand, while also being a unique level to unlock easy Level 8 Synchros with your Level 3 Tuners. Altogether, this deck is knit together by the White spells, Whitefish Salvage and White Mirror, both of which strongly support any Fish strategy. So don’t just sit on the shore, jump into the waves with the Whitefish!
