Could be a stretch but seeing Louise next to rituals could be a reference to DM1 Chaos Ritual specifically requiring Louise instead of Griffore for some bizarre reason.

Somehow, Ship of Seven Treasures returned as a reprint (that’s enough for the Structure to sell well). Ironically, Ryozai hasn’t been reprinted affordably yet.

Aside from that, it’s interesting that the original Ritual Monsters ended up being very different from what I thought, but still tied to the Cover Monster.

I was completely wrong on the two remaining Rituals being a Chaos DMG and BLS, but I am pleasantly surprised at the consistency boosts this Deck received.

We got a new retrain of Beaver Warrior, inspired by how it was used in the final Duel against Pegasus in the manga. Beaver Warrior was also used in Yugi’s match against Kaiba, when he had his Blue-Eyes out (the OCG reveals were tied to Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes). Beaver Warrior has a handful of targets, most vanillas, but the only ones you need are the new Griffore and Winged Dragon. Being Level 4 and reviving another Level 4 that resets the Ritual Spell makes it a 1-card Ritual engine. While WD can only reset BMR, he is also an optional draw 1. The mill helps with getting the Ritual Spells you need in your GY.

Ceremonial Knight is partially inspired by Buster Blader and Gaia, and its effect makes it reach 3300 ATK by itself but can reach an impressive 3800 ATK if you also control a Level 8 Spellcaster Ritual (currently only MoBC.) It also boosts MoBC to 3300 ATK, putting him on par with most anime Fusions. Ceremonial Sorcerer is inspired by Dark Magician and pops any card but you must control the Level 8 Spellcaster Ritual. Being reliant on MoBC balances both cards.

Ceremonial Gate can summon either Ritual bur you can only use face-up monsters on your field only, as opposed to Black Magic Ritual, which also uses face-downs and your hand. This balances both Ritual Spells, where BMR has 2 reset targets while Gate only has 1. MoBC, whose effect is only being treated as DM in the GY, can be Ritual Summoned much easier than the Ceremonials, who need MoBC out to maximize their potential. Mature Dark Magician, who can revive MoBC, has a much harder requirement to meet than Explorer of the Temple, and as a Level 3, Mature is also less ideal as Ritual material.

The Deck also reprinted Ship once again, reiterating its competitive importance, and Beidai, another 2 miller who sets up Beaver Warrior and Explorer, and as Ritual material for Ceremonial Gate.

So, it’s possible we’ll have more Ceremonial Ritual Monsters in the future, considering they seem to be a type of Deck exclusive to Dark Magician (much like Paranormal was for Sevens Road in the Anime)

Now the Deck needs more tools that allow it to work with different Ritual Spell Cards for greater consistency (it doesn’t need consistency to bring Ritual Materials and perform Ritual Summons)
